dandannieldanok Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Even Rangers got a relatively easy draw , the only group that's going to be really interesting is group C. As usual we'll have to wait until the round of 16 for the real excitement to begin.
Uncle Albert Posted 27 August 2009 Author Posted 27 August 2009 Group's A and D look the toughest to me but there are usually a few surprises in the group stage.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 What a draw for Zurich - blimey, getting only one point will be the biggest challenge. But I have faith and it's going to be some cracking nights over at the Letzigrund. I might be visiting Zurich at some point. What are my chances of getting a ticket for one of their CL games if the dates coincide?
Uncle Albert Posted 27 August 2009 Author Posted 27 August 2009 AJCW - Not really, will be looking for maximum points from Debrechen and a home win against Fierontina or Lyon and then they would only require a point away. Italian teams do not do well in England and I can't see Fierontina causing Liverpool many problems or Lyon for that matter. Liverpool's only failure will be if they get off to a bad start and leave it late to qualify.
Tommeh Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Come on Athletico. Kun will show Chelsea exactly what he's working with.

Darkzzz_ Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Man United and Arsenal with piss easy groups.Bayern, Juve, United, CSKA, Milan, Madrid, Chelsea, Atletico, Liverpool, Fiorentina, Barca, Inter, Sevilla, Rangers, Arsenal and Olympiakos in the last 16. Arsenal yes but I think you could be wrong on the United group, not as easy as it looks, the away games could be tough. Barca and Inter will be tasty for obvious reasons and I really hope Huntelaar goes back to haunt Real but I feel Kaka could damage his old club. Would love to see Fiorentina do Liverpool but I can't see it happening, they aren't strong enough. I fancy Chelsea to get the furthest out of the English sides but it is hard to tell at this stage, If Inter can get Eto'o firing then they could go all the way this time, they have a strong squad there, I hope Juve do really well too but they have to overcome a difficult group, hopefully Bayern will be playing as bad as they are right now, Bordeaux will get points at home.
dandannieldanok Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 I don't know much about Besiktas but CSKA Moscow have looked piss poor, especially at home, in their league so far. If United mess it up, which they won't, length of travel is a weak excuse.
Uncle Albert Posted 27 August 2009 Author Posted 27 August 2009 Come on Athletico.Kun will show Chelsea exactly what he's working with. He really won't.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 I fear for Besiktas to be homest.

Still, United should walk it.
Samilktray Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Sevilla have a piss easy group, they could go far with luck on there side.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 The more I look at Arsenal's group the more boring it seems.
Samilktray Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 The more I look at Arsenal's group the more boring it seems. GET YOUR AWAY KITS READY.
Darkzzz_ Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 I can see the divide already..... This seasons CL topic is going to be great.
StanSP Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 I fear for Besiktas to be homest. They got thrashed 8-0 in Liverpool. More at Old Trafford? Possibly.

Uncle Albert Posted 28 August 2009 Author Posted 28 August 2009 Yes he will.Que.......... Fiver say's he doesnt score in either game?
Darkzzz_ Posted 15 September 2009 Posted 15 September 2009 Just watching the highlights now after getting back from the City game. Ronaldo scored a world class free kick for Madrid, still nice to see their dodgy defence exists!! Good start for the English sides too.
