Ultra Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Don't think another all-England final would help the competition, especiallly if it featured the same two teams as the last one. Come on Barca!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Carvalho a doubt for the Barcelona game now. Not good for Chelsea.
Ultra Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Van Persie's out of the first leg of Arsenal-United. How the gooners must wish they'd signed Arshevin in the summer, so he wouldn't be cup-tied..
Darkzzz_ Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Carvalho a doubt for the Barcelona game now. Not good for Chelsea. Obviously excellent news for Barca. I just hope they do the job in the first leg. Then a nice relaxing 4-4 draw at Stamford bridge.
Samilktray Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Really looking forward to the games this week, more so about tonight though if I'm honest. Can see Chelsea winning tonight, which in my eyes could well secure the tie as I cant see Barca getting a result at the Bridge. Hoping for another good game more than anything.
StanSP Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Quite excited for this game. Would prefer a Barcelona win tonight. Don't think Bosingwa will be able to handle Messi all night. With Barca being very strong at home this year, 2-0 or 3-0 I think.
dandannieldanok Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Can see Chelsea winning 1 or 2-0, Barca failed to live up to the hype last year and imo will flatter to deceive again.
Joe. Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Really looking forward to this game now. I think (and hope) Barca will win it 1-0 or 2-0.
Darkzzz_ Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Had Chelsea not had Hiddink I would be a lot more confident. If Barca don't concede tonight and can (hopefully) win the game they should be able to complete the job. I am sure Drogba will cause some problems for Barcelona's week point, which is their defence. I am sure it will be a great game. Enjoy.

Think its got the makings of a cracking tie I am not betting on this at all. I wouldn't dare on a game like this. Although I wonder what the odds are for 4-4.
maddog Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 I am not betting on this at all. I wouldn't dare on a game like this. Although I wonder what the odds are for 4-4. I love Barcelona and Arsenal. I hate Man Utd and Chelsea. So i've put a bet on Man Utd and Chelsea to win to balance it out I would love to see Barca and Arsenal both win 3-0 though.
Samilktray Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Its 70/1 somewhere on Drogba to score first and Chelsea to win 2-1. Was tempted.
dandannieldanok Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Its 70/1 somewhere on Drogba to score first and Chelsea to win 2-1.Was tempted. Got to be worth a quid at least, great odds.
Samilktray Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Got to be worth a quid at least, great odds. I debated it, but ultimately couldnt be bothered to walk to the bookies.
StanSP Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Taken from BBC . Knew Barca's strikeforce was good, but not that good! Barcelona have scored 94 goals in La Liga. They have scored 29 in the Champions League (Chelsea have scored 19, Arsenal 16, Man Utd 14). Leo Messi, Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry have scored more goals between them (66) than the entire Chelsea team have managed in the Premier League.
Darkzzz_ Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 I am looking forward to Arsenal v United tomorrow. Hope it is a cracking game. As much as people hate Wenger, he is a master at what he does. I am not going to make a prediction, I am totally neutral, maybe tilting towards United.
Joe. Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Looking forward to this one tonight, should be decent. I can't see Arsenal posing much of a threat to United anywhere on the pitch to be honest. Vidic and Ferdinand will have Adebayor and Bendtner in their pockets for the whole game unless something unexpected happens. No Arshavin leaves only Walcott, Fabregas and possibly Nasri for me. The left back spot could be a huge problem for Arsenal with Gibbs, Clichy and Silvestre potentially all out, and whoever comes in will have to go up against you know who. There could be an upset, Wenger has a good record against Ferguson, but I think it'll come down to a comfortable 2-0 United win.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 As much as I want Arsenal to win tonight, I can't see it.
AyewJoking Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Can I just say Barca v Chelsea last night was rubbish. Half expected it to be. I'd like to see an all English final even if it ends up Man Utd v Chelsea again.
Uncle Albert Posted 29 April 2009 Author Posted 29 April 2009 I enjoyed the game last night. Alot of praise needs to be placed on players like Iniesta, Xavi, Mikel and Ballack them four were awesome last night. I will comment on Messi's performance after seeing Ronaldo's later on tonight.

I will comment on Messi's performance after seeing Ronaldo's later on tonight. Ineed. They were. I thought Toure was superb as well. As for Messi, just like Ronaldo, special players get special treatment. It is sad but that is what happens when your that good. I don't think he was bad at all, a few good runs and passes but overall, no, he wasn't at his best. Reminded me of Ronaldo in many games. Same used to happen to Ronaldinho. United for me tonight.
lildave3 Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Celtic have won away! Ace. Samaras scored the injury time goal that sent them through.
