Finnegan Posted 28 March 2009 Posted 28 March 2009 I like it. Looks quite tidy when seen in "motion". It's still phenominally boring.
Tommeh Posted 28 March 2009 Posted 28 March 2009 Unfortunatly I ove the new England shirt, meaning another holiday expenditure no doubt.
Samilktray Posted 28 March 2009 Posted 28 March 2009 I need the new England shirt with Beckham on the back.
Joe. Posted 28 March 2009 Posted 28 March 2009 Unfortunatly I ove the new England shirt, meaning another holiday expenditure no doubt. Don't be a mug Tom.
Alexikokopops Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 It'd be nice as a polo shirt, but £50 for that? You're having a laugh.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 It'd be nice as a polo shirt, but £50 for that? You're having a laugh. I don't think you're fully appreciating the embroidery my friend.
Alexikokopops Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 I don't think you're fully appreciating the embroidery my friend. It is good stitching...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 It is good stitching... £50 worth of magnificent stitching.
Samilktray Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 The new grey England tracksuit pisses on the shirt.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 The new grey England tracksuit pisses on the shirt. There's a tracksuit as well?!?!?
Samilktray Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 There's a tracksuit as well?!?!? I think so. Saw Frank Lampard in some grey trackies and an England polo for an interview earlier, and the trackies looked quality.
Uncle Monty Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Looks a lot nicer in this picture i think Looks okay, i'm still not convinced that it doesn't look anything other than a t-shirt you'd have to wear from the lost property bin in P.E
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 The new grey England tracksuit pisses on the shirt. This one? KitBag
Matt Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Not sure this has been mentioned or discussed? I would have checked back 1 or 2 pages of this thread but it's took me about half an hour to get to this thread and post this reply due to a really shit internet connection which doesn't want to run fast if at all. Really like the new England shirt, but if the £50 price tag is true they can fook off, Do they know a recession is going on? This is part of the reason the 'love' has been lost with England and I suppose football as a whole. The times may be more skid row than Savile Row, but England's players will attempt to prove the national game is somehow recession-proof when they unveil football's first £50 shirt. The all-white strip has been billed as the "most sophisticated football kit ever" and promises to mould bespoke tailoring with innovative design to create what Umbro have called "an articulated second-skin armour." However, with unemployment soaring and many football clubs freezing prices, fans groups yesterday reacted with shock at the new shirt's £50 tag - which represents a 25 per cent price hike. "It's certainly expensive, and I think a lot of England fans who are already feeling the pinch won't won't rush out to buy the shirt," said England Fans spokesman Mark Perryman. "In these times it would have been a nice gesture to say that this will be the home shirt for the next four years, rather than just two, because there will also be another away kit coming out before the World Cup." The Football Association have confirmed that pricing policy is set by Umbro, whose senior designer David Blanch said: "The RRP reflects the level of research, craftsmanship, sports tailoring and style innovation that has gone into the kit design." Blanch also insisted the design would help England's chances against Slovakia. "Fabio Capello was an inspiration in the design process, and he understands the psychological lift that this kind of bespoke tailored kit can give the players. It's the difference between putting on a suit and putting on a sweatshirt. It gives them a sense of pride and confidence that is tangible."
Fosse Boy Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 I love them, but won't pay £50 for one. Reckon I'll just wait until they get reduced in a year or so.
Shrenchel Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 That's really steep, was gunna get one as well. Oh well, they'll probably be £4.99 in the JJB bargaain bin by Christmas.
Matt Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 The price will have to be reduced quickly because before you know it there will be a new England shirt out anyway. It says a 2 year deal (£50 quid for 2 years is abit of piss take anyway) but after 1 of the 2 years a new Away shirt will come out probably and they will play in that for the last year of this shirt deal. This is normally how they seem to do it anyway
Finnegan Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Tidy. That lotto logo looks horribly out of place, mind.
J.Lisemore Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Tidy. That lotto logo looks horribly out of place, mind. Yep, the design itself looks decent, but like you say the logo really doesn't look right.
