SamL Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I knew it would be a tough game but I thought we'd be able to win it if we played to our best, which we certainly didn't do last night. In my opinion, no one really shone out. Thought the atmosphere we created was pretty decent, especially when we went 1-0 down. It was also nice to see a sizable amount standing. Oh, and AA Route finder - Never again. We printed off directions that had half of them missing which we didn't realize until we needed the missing ones. If it hadn't have been for SUAS telling us which road to get on, I don't think we'd have got there at all.
BoneDog Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I would normally agree. It is my 2nd least favourite road in the UK. However I must have been in some alternative universe situation, as I breezed down there both on the way there and back. Which is your least favourite? Am I being stupid?!
TRFC_Lad Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Lads why only sing in the clipper and when you were 1-0 down, very confusing bunch.
Unit Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Which is your least favourite? Am I being stupid?! Everyones least favourite is surely the m25
davieG Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Well it looked like a case of I can't be arsed to be playing this game in Tranmere on a Wednesday night, in fact it's a shame they bothered to turn up because they'd forgotten how to control a ball, how to pass, how to close people down, how to move. The first half was appalling there was nothing there to commend, yes they did perk up after Tranmere scored for about all of 10 minutes then it was back to a repeat of the first half. An extremely disappointing way to end a 23 game unbeaten run.
Corky Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 So the general consensus is that we need a massive improvement on Saturday
Kilworthfox Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Lads why only sing in the clipper and when you were 1-0 down, very confusing bunch. Rather than talking about singing, Since your team are able to beat the supposed "best" team in the division, what have you lot been dicking about at all season?
TRFC_Lad Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Its a case for home & away for us but we have historicaly been shocking on the road so doesn't come as a suprise to see us struggling yet again. We need to be more clinical infront of goal but withour better strikers on their way back hopefully it might give us the push we need to scrape into the play-offs. You could tell you were a decent outfit some of the balls you were threading down the wings were class however delivery into the box was poor to say the least. One final note, I have never see anyone try to go toe to toe with Goodison the way Howard did but Goodison is easily one of the best deffenders in this league, which a lot of you in the clipper didn't know before the game.

Well best of luck, but :fox:
TRFC_Lad Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I'll stick around, no doubt we will see you again next year
BoneDog Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Everyones least favourite is surely the m25 I knew it, I just couldn't think! It's these 24 hour sessions
BoneDog Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I'll stick around, no doubt we will see you again next year Say what?! I hope so, cos it'll mean you done Leeds in the play-offs. Good luck
Fox92 Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 They just did not give us time to play all game, we were outfought in all areas and it seemed to ruffle us.After seeing Gradel's performance tonight, i'm beginning to understand why Pearson has held him back so much. He was not alone in being poor but his decision making was woeful at times. We have come through games with points where we have played like this but last night Lady Luck decided that she was with the scallies because their work rate thoroughly deserved 3 points and fair play to them. Howard - Looks knackered. Mattock - Is not a midfielder. King - does not like to play against the physical sides. I could go on. For me it seems as though we have to be able to raise our game against opposition who are out to prove something, Saturday will provide us with the ideal opportunity to let the teams around us that we are still intent to win this god awful league. Spot on
StanSP Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Don't know. But Martin can't be that far away. If needs be i'll go in goal i'll fill it then no one will score. Is Pentney that bad that we might have to rely on an injured keeper? Or you?!
Tilley Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Is Pentney that bad that we might have to rely on an injured keeper? Or you?! You calling Pentney bad?
StanSP Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 You calling Pentney bad? I'm not. The guy who I quoted was implying he was . I've never seen him play so I can't comment on whether he's good or not.
Tilley Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I'm not. The guy who I quoted was implying he was . I've never seen him play so I can't comment on whether he's good or not. Good. Carl, is just.. fantastic.
Bryn Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Lads why only sing in the clipper and when you were 1-0 down, very confusing bunch. You've obviously come on here looking to pick an argument with a load of delusional fans and you've not found any because most of those in attendance have said you fully deserved to win. Stop picking on tiny irrelevant things, you just look like a tit.
Corky Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Good.Carl, is just.. fantastic. Yes we know. Those at Hartlepool will testify to your love for young Pents.
Tilley Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Yes we know. Those at Hartlepool will testify to your love for young Pents. :D Pents? Liking the nickname for him, Corks.

Tilley Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 He'll be our number 1 in the future Tills Yes! This is what I like to hear.
Bryn Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 O lighten up its called banter, easy concept to understand. It's piss poor banter on your part, you're a disgrace to northerners everywhere.

Agreed but i wasn't coming on here to wind you lot up, I enjoyed mixing with the lot of you last night and you brought great numbers for what is after all not the most desirable of fixtures. Just made me smile how some of your fans thought you were very vocal thats all. Have fun in the championship
