shiv Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 WarnerGilbert Morrison Hobbs Mattock Kisnorbo Berner Porter Dyer Oakley Fryatt Subs: Pentney, Gradel,Dickov, Powell, Edworthy Play Fryatt on his own up front - Kisnorbo and Berner holding positions - Oakley,Dyer and Porter in the middle. Strange Kisnorbo not in the squad yesterday I hope he isn't injured. the chant for kisnorbo, "he used to be shite" kind of comes from the days when we played him in midfield...
Guest ttfn Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Warner Gilbert Hobbs Kisnorbo Powell Dyer Berner Oakley Mattock Gradel (in the hole) Fryatt We're in big, big trouble.
suffolk fox Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Mattock won't be playing he has been called up to England U21's! It will be Powell!!!
Tommeh Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Powell for Mattock as I always say and Kisnorbo for Morrison please Midfield SHOULD pick itself. With Gradel - Bruno (God) - Oakley - Dyer ( although can Levi be any worse than this guy at the moment?) - (apologies if this leads to a Thracian thread takeover!) Then I'd choose Barry over Dickov as he's funnier.
Tilley Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Warner Gilbert Hobbs Kisnorbo PowellGradel Oakley Berner DyerFryatt Dickov Subs: Stockdale, Morrison, Edworthy, Hayles & Chambers.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 This is REALLY throwing the cat amongst the pigeons BUT... how about throwing a defender up front with Fryatt for nod downs and air power, a lá Walsh/Elliott in the MON years. Can't be worse than Hayles or Dickov and might throw Posh off their stride. The question is of course, which defender would be up for it and which we can spare from the defence?
Guest Bilo Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Warner Gilbert--Hobbs--Kisnorbo--PowellGradel--Oakley---Berner--DyerFryatt--Dickov Dickov looked up for it yesterday and we may well be seeing the same Dickov who was firing them in for Blackpool at the tailend of last season. Even if he isn't firing them in, he looked determined and hungry enough to be a real pain in the backside and give Fryatt a bit of space. Morrison was disappointing yesterday, and Kisnorbo inspires a little more faith in a big game like this one. Midfield pretty much picks itself under the circumstances.
Legend_in_blue Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Why not play Kisnorbo in midfield? On a serious note, the midfield clearly is an obvious setup since we only have 4 players who can play there - despite us having the largest squad in this division - still a total myth imo. Up front you go with Fryatt and Dickov. That's obvious. It's the kind of game Dickov will relish. At the back if Mattock isn't available, then Powell is the obvious, and better choice anyway, imo. Kisnorbo could be a risk for such a vital game, although I guess it's worth a punt. I wouldn't play Morrison - he'll be done by their front two. Whatever team goes out there, it just needs to perform with a bit more desire, passion and show a will to win. Yesterday was a shambles.

It will be Powell!!! http://www.thefa.com/England/U21s/NewsAndF...quadvFraNor.htm He's available. Losing Cleverley too has really caught us short. Stockdale - Gilbo, Hobbs, 'norbo, Mattock - Gradel, Oakley, Berner, Dyer - Fryatt, Chambers* * Never happen in a million...it will be Dickov.
maddog Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Warner Gilbert Hobbs Morrison Mattock Gradel Oakley Berner Dyer Fryatt Chambers Subs: Stockdale, Mattock, Kisnorbo, Hayles, Dickov. Mattock has been gash recently. Although he will have to play otherwise we will be a player short in midfield. With Adams and Dj out on loan, Cleverly, King and Howard out, we are seriously fooked for this game the more i look at it.

spirefox Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 The man we need played against Celtic this afternoon.A combative, holding midfield player who is match fit and could give us the freshen up we desperately need.Welcome back James Wesolowski.
teblin Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 The man we need played against Celtic this afternoon.A combative, holding midfield player who is match fit and could give us the freshen up we desperately need.Welcome back James Wesolowski. He did well, watched the game, legs went with about 15 mins to go. But looked his tigerish self. I wouldn't have thought we'd be able to get him back, as i think he went with a view to a perminant move.
spirefox Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Shame if thats true because I thought he was Leicester to his core and we could really do with his spirit .I wonder if he will get a mention on the moan in tomorrow.
Candidcamera Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Weso should have been our Mark Davies but unfortunately we have been too hasty in letting him go, I think.
clazkel Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 No offence to Dyer as he was our best player at the beginning of the season and i know we are short of players now, but i still cant believe the amount of people who put Dyer in the starting 11. At this moment in time i dont think he brings alot to the team and it would be more productive playing Hayles on Chambers on the wing or bringing Nicky Adams back.
STUHILL Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Weso should have been our Mark Davies but unfortunately we have been too hasty in letting him go, I think. No chance, completely different players. Weso is defensive, 'break-up', hard tackling midfielder, Mark Davies was skillfull, attacking midfielder who made breaks in to the box. Weso could be of some use now but only on the bench I think. Berner would probably play CM infront of him, rightly or wrongly!

I put him in mine because there's literally no other options. Porter - Dropped off the face of the earth. Hayles - A winger? No chance. Adams - No better than Dyer. Chambers - Technically not really a winger either, and barely played with the first team at all to warrant getting a place on the left wing.

Yeah i understand that but even tho Hayles and Chambers arent wingers, i think at present they will be more effective than Dyer, i thought Hayles done ok last season when he played on the wing afew times. Its difficult tho as we have limited players at the min

Yeah seem`s pearson has overlooked wesolowski Or could have said unless u prove ur fitness then you won`t be coming back??? but if he is playing well against celtic thats a better standard of opposition than were playing week in week out.
dandannieldanok Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Warner Gilbert Hobbs Morrison Mattock Gradel Oakley Berner Dyer Fryatt Dickov Surprised so many people want Kisnorbo back in so soon, especially considering the defence has been reasonably solid. I think it would be disastrous to throw him back in against one of the most potent attacks in the league, and against two fast, direct runners like McLean and Mackail-Smith. Talk about baptism of fire, he's not going to be match fit.
