Leicester city v Carlisle Post match

That was game was the one that has now left Leicester City Football Club with a huge mountain to climb.

They will do it though, I heard enough to suggest we will be too strong for Hereford, their(Carlisle's) Goalkeeper was in inspirational form by all accounts.

They will turn it on against Leeds of that I have no doubt in the Easter sunshine!

Shockingly bad result, though sounded like we deserved to win and their goalie played a blinder plus their lucky goal at the end. As usual, be interesting to see the reaction of those who actually went to the game.

We bottled it - AGAIN!

This team, and manager, do not deserve a league title.

How many times this season have we thrown away a lead in the closing stages?

Come Good Friday, we'll be out of top spot and are likely to stay there.

Kisnorbo should be deported back to Australia.

we dont want him back here either.

Out of the games we have though....

Leeds will be a draw at best. That's clear as day. Same with S****horpe and Crewe probably.

I'm an optimist usually too, but this is just getting pathetic.

2 ****ing points. After being 11 ahead. Joke.

I think we'll go up too, but I want pissing top spot. That's not being greedy, we've been there for the vast majority of the season so to mess it up now....

I can't even be arsed to slit my wrists.

Beggars can't be choosers.

I just wanna go up by all means necessary.

too many changes at the back has weaked the defence and the players all around have lost the confidence as a result.

he did rob us, he didnt blow for a blatant hand ball, he was going to blow but then decided against it, even the commentators said it was blatant

^--- ignore this as it was a reply to somebody that deleted their post, it is relevant to anybody that says "dont blame the ref"

I'm left speechless somehow... And gutted. Massively.

I don't know what they were thinking before kick-off but it the term WIN was never really on their minds, that much I can tell.

BOOOOOOOHOOO!!!

I expect three points from Hereford and maybe another three from Leeds... :@

Oh, we'll beat Hereford. It is away after all. They love the ol' away grounds, bless 'em.

Did you see it? because i didn't! we always blame the ref for something, were sh*t, i want to go up as champions, but i don't know if we will

Unlucky to concede a dodgy last minute goal but it papers over the cracks

To be honest we dont deserve to be champions the way we are playing,i will salute Peteboro if they do win it Fergusons obviously got them playing with confidence, which is something we are sadly lacking,in fact i would say are confidence is shot,i think our players thought they were going to walk it

i still think pearson should have strengthened in January with a midfielder and a back up striker,Thracians right when he says we have no plan b.

Yeah, cos they don't have to sit in front of a silent passionless mass!

Good film that `Bob Hoskins`

Anyway we are still 2 points in front we will get 6 points over Easter and look back and think what was all the fuss about, just not having the luck at the moment. My brother rang me after the game and said we should have been 6 up at half time, no team is going to come to the Walkers and just lay down so come on chaps have faith and can someone please shove one of poshdrummerboys drumsticks up his feckin arse please. ;0)

Meh, partially. Nothing for the fans to get excited about though I'm sure.

OK had a cup of tea and calmed down. Lets get things into persepective, still 7 points ahead of Millwall and with a far better goal dif. Milwall will drop points at least 2 possibly 4/5 if not more (really need Posh to beat them no matter if it means we lose the title)

I have said all along 86 points will do it and think that still may be the case I`m certain that 89 will be enough, if Posh and Millwall do draw and win all their remaining games then they have put runs together better than we have done all season and will deserve a shot at promotion.

Its in our hands 6 more points will see us there and if we can`t get 6 out of 15 then we don`t desreve it no matter how long we have led the league for. I agree the most important 5 games in the clubs history.

I think we'll just do it. We definitely need Posh to beat Millwall. I don't care if they win the title or not, as long as we go up.

The thing that gives me a wee bit of confidence is Millwall's inconsistency. I think 88-89 points will get us up, and we'll get that. Just.

I'm fooking pissed off now. Kisnorbo was shit, unless the purpose of a centre back is to give away throw ins, in which case he was excellent. Warner looked shaky, the players argued with each other after the first goal so much that I thought Dickov had been brought on as a sub. The ref waved away a couple of good penalty shouts and then gave Carlisle two goal opportunities - the first by playing advantage on a free kick then letting them have the free kick anyway after they fooked it up, and then by shaping up to blow for the handball only to change his mind once the City players all stopped moving.

BUT.

Why was only Max Gradel chasing the ball in the first half? Why was no-one prepared to take a shot for sixty minutes? Why can we still not take consistently decent corners or free kicks? And why, for the love of leicester, can't we beat a team who can't string three passes together?

The first half was awful. The second was just about OK but still far too many weak points.

I am worried now. We just don't look like we want to fight for it. Team spirit wasn't evident this afternoon.

I would argue that's a fault with our fans (or the vast majority) We wait for the team to give us something before we back them. That's not how it works for me. Supporting your team is unconditional and 100% all the time. When the team are NOT performing is when they need the support the most. Otherwise you get into a downward spiral (team don't perfom so crowd don't support = team playing worse and crowd giving even less support = (and you get the picture.))

People will say "it's just like last season - no confidence - just the same", but answer me this, anyone who says that... who are the same as last season? New manger, 70% new players, new backroom staff... oh wait! Same old fans!

Not calling you Lib, but I know there will be some saying stuff like this and I'm pre-empting them! <_<

100% agreed. Last year it was 'well we hadnt nothing to shout about' Now we've been top for almost the whole season texcuses are still made. Our home fans are quiet end of, but thats no different to most home crowds these days.

ok.

i'm not going to complain about letting in late goals, cause we scored pretty late, so they really just cancel each other out.

i'm not going to complain about the ref, cause they should still have dealt with it - but it seems 2 soft goals conceded.

i'm not going to complain about losing the lead in the league cause we have suffered so many personel changes, it must be tough to keep consistancy

i'm not going to complain about the performance, cause compared to the previous few games, we created sooo many chances, we had like one shot against posh

i think the manner of defeat, the amount of opportunities we created and the spark this new guy seemed to bring to the closing minutes suggests that the boys are ready for the final push, and i'm confidant that we can still do this
