For one Kishishev has gone and two in your other post it says about Clemence, he's out for the rest of the season mate it has been said already
Simi Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Clemence has no chance at all. I'd like to see Powell come in for Mattock, I've been saying that all season. Not a massive fan of Mattock, especially when it comes to his defending. Think it's a change that Pearson would consider as well for a game like this. We'll see though.

ts_1010 Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 I know it wont happen but... WARNER MORRISON HOBBS KISNORBO GRADEL OAKLEY AJDAREVIC KING DYER FRYATT HOWARD If we boss the midfield they will be forced to long ball it. and our defence should be able to handle that. Also thing that Astrit will play to rest oaklet or king for leeds. (if we go 442) Plus i bet Berner could handle RB if were stuck/desperate. We should not be in this mess.
act smiley Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 I would prefer Berner in midfield to be honest, strengthen it up. I guess we could play him at rightback but then its probably king/oakley again and I've always found that those two seem to cancel each other out a bit. I would go with Mattock and Powell as the fullbacks for that reason, really.

thanks4nothinglevein Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 At the end of the day Gilbert is out so the natural replacement will be Edworthy because Morrison isn't a full back. the team will be: Warner Edworthy Kisnorbo Hobbs MattockGradel Oakley© King Dyer Fryatt Howard
Darkzzz_ Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 True legends of the game. Oh so you liked my bench full of legends of our club then?
carterfox90 Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 who whould start powell over mattock me experience now matters & to be honest mattock imo has been poor this year was expecting to see great things from him but like many of the youngsters who show good promise they seem to fade away into becoming average players
lou Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 me experience now matters & to be honest mattock imo has been poor this year was expecting to see great things from him but like many of the youngsters who show good promise they seem to fade away into becoming average players I would! Mattock has been awful recently and Powell was sound enough before JM came back
Rodders Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 Might be a bit risky, but I'd like to see this given a go: Warner Gradel Morrison Hobbs Powell Oakley King Berner Dyer Fryatt Howard From what I've seen of him this season, Gradel's definitely capable of defending, and he'd give us another attacking option, overlapping Oakley on the right. More exciting option that a centre-back anyway, and a more match-fit option than Edworthy or either of the young LBs.

More exciting option that a centre-back anyway, and a more match-fit option than Edworthy or either of the young LBs. Whatever we do's going to be risky. But while I agree that Gradel's defending has improved immeasurably, he's still not a natural (Tranmere and Peterborough for example) although there's no reason he and Oakley shouldn't swop. I still don't like the idea of Berner in midfield and have already seen enough of Ajdarevic to believe that he really does have the skills to unlock defences even if he does come over as a bit of a fancy dan. Whether Ajdarevic's a team player - on or off the ball - remains to be seen but the guy showed more talent in his short time on the pitch than I've yet seen from Berner. In the end if you've got a team full of ability you've got the ingredients for victory and it's up to the manager to make them come together. Whatever I'd soon back youthful energy and ideas than the mostly ponderous approach of experienced veterans. We should go out to win promotion rather than sitting back to various degrees and hoping it will happen anyway - as we did at Stoke last season and seem to be doing now.

He could just be having a dip in form at present because I think we've all seen that he can be good. I think we need to go out and really attack Hereford, not just for the three points but as a statement of our intent not to let our lead at the top dwindle away anymore and as a psychological boost for the team going into the last few matches. I'm just praying that they play some football on the ground this weekend because we can play well like that, and have the 'lumping it up to Howard to flick on' option used sporadically when needed
