Poor girl. You could clearly see she was distressed by the whole situation. Anyone who says that they would not have let her sing again must have a heart of stone. Thought she did well on the night.

Fair enough lav but you can't have one rule for one and another for the rest.

They may be accused of having hearts of stone for not letting her through but they are judges, tough decisions have to be made.

I think the problem lies with the show actually allowing someone of her age on the show. The enormous pressure that she must have been under, is hard for adults let alone 10 year old kids to cope with. Her life would have been dramatically different for the last 2 months, with her practicing every day for her big moment on the Television. The pressure just got too much for her and she crumbled.

It may have been out of the rules to allow her to have another go but common sense must really prevail, she's 10 years old, and if she had not have had another go, god knows the emotional trauma she would have gone through. I don't even think the other contestants really mind that she had another go, so what is the big deal? Her age must be taken into consideration into things. At least now she has had her chance to sing.

That's the crux of it. She may well have talent and if she has, can't it wait for another six to seven years before it's discovered?

If there is the possibility that she would crack under pressure, and if there was any danger of emotional trauma, she should never have entered the competition. It isn't common sense to give her another go; if you start going down that route, then a couple of well-timed tantrums could win her the show, and that's not fair to the other contestants.

Other children have competed successfully against adults in such shows; Bonnie Langford, Neil Reid, Malandra Burrows and Lena Zavaroni spring to mind. With the last one, the dangers of pushing a child into showbusiness are most pronounced.

Lisa, Corky and AoWW vs Lavrentis.

Anyone else up for a quick rendition of 'we're the harsh side' vs 'we're the soft side'? :P

If a singer wins this it's a joke.

Winner's prize: perform at the royal variety show. Go on bloody Xfactor if you want to sing.

What a performance by flawless, if something that technical and creative is beaten by fking susan boyle it will prove what a moronic country we live in.

Really? And there are people who think that a brat who bawls at the first hint of pressure should be on this?

Madness.

I'm sure Price Philip would comfort the poor little mite.:P

I agree she should maybe have never entered the competition, but is it down to having a pushy mother promising her, her "stardom"? I'll never know. If the show hadn't have given her another go to sing, I'm sure it would caused more negative publicity towards BGT, with her there balling.

To be honest, it varies from person to person with how to deal with the pressure, some people are just naturally confident performing, like the people you have listed. I imagine, the young girl wont really pursue a career in "show business" but she shouldn't have been denied a second chance to sing.

We'll have to disagree on whether she should or shouldn't have had another chance, but I do agree with what you say about the mother.

How old is that girl in 2 grand?

How old is that girl in 2 grand?

Ah, she's 12.

She's quite pretty for her age though.

Amazing voice as well.

Felt sorry for the grandad, forgetting to sing, but ah well...good achievement to get this far.
