Player : Steve Howard, would of been Tunchev but unfortunately he missed part of the season, and without Steve we are competley different team. His changed my view and many others about the lad.

Goal : Dyer's against Northampton, not only was an absoulute gem of a move this was the winner against the team I wanted us to beat the most in this season.

Best Away fans : It has to be Cheltenham for me, 4-0 and bottom of the league what do you do? The conga.

Best Game? If this is meant by team performance then their has been so many for me, Peterbourgh at home was very special. I remember being on the train with a lot of their fans, walking next to their escort thinking I hope we smash these and we did. But then youve got games such as Huddersfield at home where you thinking we have lost 10 miniutes later were winning. The 4-0 and 4-1's against Walsall and Cheltenham, the 1-0 victorys against Leeds, Colchester and Millwall.

But what really stood out for me and it was the same sort of story the whole season, going to Bristol Rovers where their fans decide to come out of the woodwork, the home fans being up for it, the home team having nothing to lose. But we have sort of had our own lift from the expectancy and at that Rovers game we take a well earned lead, then lose a man to a red card. Save a penalty then seeing Steve Howard face in the last 5 minuites as he is so worn out but manages to keep going.

Ive loved this season, away games have been quality wherever we have gone. Nigel Pearson thank you very much.

Player: Jack Hobbs

Mr Consistent and an ever-present at the back. Has made very few mistakes and seems to have taken everything in his stride. The own goal he conceded at Brighton could have broken lesser players but Hobbs continued to link up brilliantly with Tunchev, and then with any other central defender he was expected to. One for the future and I for one hope Pearson can sign him permanently.

Special Mention: Steve Howard

Look at the way that we play without him for details. May not have Fryatt's scoring record but has created dozens of opportunities for Fryatt to add to it. Hard working and often pushed and shoved all over the pitch by central defenders, Howard's experience has overcome all the difficulties and he has been one of our more important players this season.

Goal: Gradel against MK Dons.

95 minutes on the clock, 2-1 down against our main promotion rivals having been outplayed for long periods and then up steps Gradel for a free kick. Shades of Beckham against Greece in 2001 were to follow as it became 2-2, the fans went crazy and City retained their place at the top. MK haven't been the same since while City look near certain champions.

Special mention: King against S****horpe.

Not only a great goal technically, but a crucial one in the context of the league. A close game that could have gone either way against the team then at the top of the league, before King showed lovely control and a sweet finish to put us top of League One. We haven't dropped off the top spot since and for that reason, King's goal deserves a special mention.

Best away fans: Cheltenham Town

Almost everybody brought more fans for a Saturday game. Many made more noise. But nobody matched the Cheltenham fans in terms of attitude and fun, not by a long way. They were supporting a team trailing 4-0, on the verge of administration with their entire squad up for sale and doomed to relegation. Didn't stop them doing the conga though. No wonder they're now FoxesTalk's second favourite club.

Special mention: Leeds United

Big numbers, big noise. Never stopped singing and whatever you say about Leeds fans, they certainly know how to follow their team away from home. They do belong at a higher level than League One, but their team probably doesn't on the evidence of yesterday and that's a shame.

Best game: Peterborough (H)

Peterborough came to the Walkers in a fine vein of form and fancied their chances to continue their run. Their fans came in large numbers and made plenty of noise. For the first 10 minutes. Leicester were simply ruthless and looked more like a top-end Championship than a League One side, certainly nothing like the toothless side of 2007-2008. It was in this game that many realised, including those outside of Leicester, that this was a team that were going to take a lot of stopping.

Special mention: Huddersfield (H)

One of only two teams to sell out their away allocation, the Huddersfield fans treated this as a big game with a great performance off the pitch. Their team responded in kind with Phil Jevons giving Hudders the lead with a fantastic overhead kick. Morrison equalised but Huddersfield still looked the better side for long periods and regained their lead. After that we saw the best of Leicester as they began to pass it around and eventually won 4-2. Credit to Huddersfield for trying to win the game though, and best of luck to them next season.

Howard just ahead of King

Gradel at MK -but you had to be there to really witness it not seeing it on TV

Huddersfiled - Like their club and fans. They even took the time to help roar the kids round the pitch during their relay. Fair play to them.

Player of The Season

Fryatt. Everyone jizzing over Howard obviously forgets how poor he was in the first half of the season. What was his goal tally at Christmas? About three as I recall.

Hopefully, it's still to be scored - the one that confirms our promotion.

Best Away Fans

Cheltenham, obviously. For them to play at our place (and Elland Road) is like us playing at San Siro or Camp Nou. They're living the dream for as long as they can, even though they know it's soon to come to an end.

Game of the season

Nothing tops Monday's game, though Huddersfield away runs it close.
