We all know that a win will seal our promotion and the championship, so of course that will be the main concern of most of the members of this board, but it looks like being exciting up and down the country. The FA Cup Semi Finals take place, with Man Utd versus Everton being the pick for me. Wolves will be promoted to the top flight should they beat QPR tomorrow and Charlton will be relegated from the Championship if they fail to win or two of Norwich, Barnsley and Forest pick up at least a point. In League One, Hereford will be relegated if they fail to win, as will Cheltenham if they lose, and Brentford will be promoted from League Two should they win and Bury fail to do so. I know that many will be at Southend tomorrow. I will be in Coventry city centre with a Bury supporting mate of mine watching the scores come in, with both our sides still heavily involved in the action. Not the same as being down in Southend, I know, but it's the most excited I've been about a weekend of football for a while.
Uncle Albert Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Premier League is far to close to say who is down, the loser of Sunderland v Hull I think will go down. (Hopefully Hull) Hate to say it but I think Stoke will be safe if they get a win at home to Blackburn later on. Hope Wolves go up today and Sheffield United can pick up 3 massive points so they are a step closer to Automatic promotion. Charlton will hopefully go down today and Southampton will also lose, for some reason I want Forest to win and get themselves out of danger just for next season. Hereford need a win today which I cant see happening. Can Cheltenham go down today? Just hope Bournemouth can survive relegation after their point loss at the start of the season. What's everyone else thinking?
StanSP Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Main thing on my mind obviously is our match at Roots Hall. And then I'm looking forward to Arsenal v Chelsea. ALl the makings of a great game, but then again it could just be a bore draw. However, with Arsenal's shaky defence, it could lead to at least a couple of goals. And they have a lethal attack who, when on form, can destroy anyone.

Finnegan Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I appreciate they may go out and stun everyone and win anyway - Everton aren't exactly an unstoppable force - but it seems a little bit of a strange team to pick if you really, really are going for this great trophy-winning spree.
