Finally just arrived back in London after a weekend of sheer delight. A fantastic day out down at Saaarfend.

I'd almost forgotten what getting promoted felt like :scarf:

Since Tara Palmer Tompkinson and Handy Andy are celebs they'd sue if you put the last one on your site.

I'm guessing you can use the others - but I've seen far better posted up.

Compare the celebrations at Wolves to ours, you would have thought someone had died rather than us get promoted.

Can't wait for Friday... watch out fan club, the champions party is rolling into town.

I make no mention of pitch invasions, I've been to Southend before and i'm well aware of the ground layout there would make it almost impossible.

I was making comment on the "celebrations" shown on sky when the final whistle went. Wolves players went mad and the fans went loopy. The FIRST pictures of Leicester showed a few hand shakes and polite applause!!

I feel a little detached from all of the celebrations :cry: so I plan to buy lots of papers today, catch up with all the posts on here and listen to the moan-in tonight.

I was stuck in Birmingham all weekend (couldn't get a Saarfend ticket so agreed to go to see Filter and Papa Roach at the Academy instead!)

Got quite a few (good) comments off the Brummies though as I wore my City shirts all weekend :scarf:

So a very belated "Very, very well done Milan, Nige, Shakey, the City squad and us, the fans".

If any cameras had caught the celebrations on FT Aisle, the carnage would have been apparent to everyone. Epic celebrations.

Then Sky were taking the piss. I didn't see any polite handshakes. But then I might have missed them - I was too busy hugging family members and complete strangers, and leaping around like a nutter. From what I could see that's what everyone else was doing too.

What a day Saturday was! Don't think I've ever sung for 90 minutes before! Voice is only just getting back to normal.

I've been going to watch City for 42 years now and I can't remember a day to better Saturday. Winning League One just seemed to mean so much after the last few seasons and the massive disappointment of last year.

"We're the right side etc etc" :crylaugh:

My lad and I went in search of City fans in a pub after the game. Tried the Slug and Lettuce but was asked to leave because of the licensing laws (my son's 11). We got outside and four lads, who had been to the game, came out and offered to help us find some celebrating City fans. They took us to three pubs before we finally found some in The Last Post. Top marks to those guys for that - they were a mix of Southend and West Ham fans!

Sat down having a pint when this babe came over and asked if I was Isle of Wight Fox. It was Lisa with Daggers, Sir Fynwy and Monk!! Also met Maybes, Ched, Smuts and Tommeh. Would've loved to have gone out later with them but we had to get the train home. After they'd left us my lad said "Dad, that girl was a bit hyper!" :crylaugh:

Did anyone buy one of those flags that were on sale after the game? The ones that had 'Promoted Going Up' on them? I bought one for my son. He waved it all the way through London and out of the train door at Waterloo station. I had to hold it up to the window every time we stopped at a station - even Fratton!

Great day made even better when my son told me it had been the best day of his life as a Leicester supporter. Bless 'im.

See you in The Championship.

Now all I want is for Southampton to stay up, play them at their place early season and get some of you lads and lasses over to the island for a weekend in the sun.

Great day out for your lad and im sure leftside's lad as well. It's one of those days that will live in thier memories for years to come in the same way that my generation still remember Derby, Palace, Middlesborough and Tranmere or the way DavieG's generation remember the 64 league cup.

This is exactly why i am a Leicester fan and i would never change that for the world.
