BrockwellFox Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 maxi's little dance at the end was brilliant! today makes up for just under a year ago at stoke, what a day.
Asha Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Where do I start? Absolute magic. Just, absolute magic. I don't know about anyone else, but when the final whistle went it felt like it took about 10 seconds to sink in, and then we all just went mental. Standing amongst the FTers was immense as well, and was awesome to meet some of you for the first time. Also Granno, who was standing with me today, what a hero. Put up with me all game and was showing off his 'mag' out the window on the way home. Crazy Slightly annoying that the coach I was on encountered a flat tyre meaning an hour delay while another coach was called, but it doesn't really matter when we've become champions. I really felt part of something today, and loved every minute of it. I still don't think it's really sunk in, but I'm absolutely ecstatic. I love all the players, all the fans, and everyone on here. Magic.
Asha Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 I love you too!! Pretty sure I was stood next to you for a few minutes just after the final whistle while we all tried to get down the front. Might be wrong.
Corky Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 I'm sure I was standing near Monk all game, and was a couple of rows in front of Ultra.
Tevez Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 I just hope we don't get sucked in that Championship bottom half mix. Just go for it next year!

Magic. I'd just like to add to this really. Met (albeit briefly) Alexikopops, Katy, LD3 and JoeyB. For me this was the best day of the season, not just for the promotion, but for the company, the atmosphere, the celebrations, the stadium.
Bert Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Fantastic day out. I'm glad I could be there (thanks Syston Fox!).The first hour was very tense, but once the penalty (DEFINITE handball) went in, there was only gonna be one winner. The locals were not happy. A section of their fans kicked off Millwall-style with police, and the manager gave an extraordinarily-bitter post-match interview to local radio. But stuff them. This day is about US. We have won the league we are in. It's gonna be party time in Leicester, not just tonight, but for the next two weeks! There was a Leicester fan in the Southend end which kicked it all off. What a fantastic day that was though, we did it, without help from other teams too! Waited for the players after the game, Mattock seemed to be steaming going onto the team bus! Got interviewed by that ginger bird, so I might be on tv.
SilverFox Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Champion talk... I love it! Leicestershire la la la!!!!!!!
The Blur Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Soon as I heard City got promoted I look forward to log on Foxestalk Happy times Congratulations to the players and the managemet- you lot has prove the dobuters here wrong Best of the luck for next season may we prosper in Championship!
SamL Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 After the despair of last season, I really didn't think we'd turn it around as quickly as we have. I'm absolutely ecstatic.

On this there was more than one Leicester fan in the Southend end, i'd say about 10 maybe more after it all kicked off I went downstairs to go toilet, all the men was lined up against a wall being questioned by police in the Leicester end, one of the men had a shoe and sock missing and his ankle was like a ballon.

Mikey Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 CHAMPIONES CHAMPIONES, OLE OLE OLE... Just got back, brilliant day, loved Maxi's celebrations. Met some new people and had some great banter afterwards in the pub with some Arsenal 'fans'. Only downside from the game is the booing at half time, disgusting. CHAMPIONS!

Unabomber Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Great pic. Also good to see Gilbert there in the dressing room. Pearson has built a great spirit amongst the players, it is good that they actually have a respected leader in the dressing room in Big Nige; such a contrast to last season.
Darkzzz_ Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Pretty sure I was stood next to you for a few minutes just after the final whistle while we all tried to get down the front. Might be wrong. I couldn't possibly say without seeing a pic of you. But there were a few people that I hadn't met off FT that I met today and some others I wanted to but didn't have a clue who they were without seeing their pics on facebook.

The fact that Gilbert chose to be at Roots Hall and actually watched the second half in the Leicester end when he could no doubt have been at Wembley watching his employers speaks absolute volumes about the spirit in our camp.

Yeah it is great, it holds such a contrast with the players we had on loan last season, and also shows he would want to be at Leicester longer.
