Daggers Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Last Post pre&post match Alex's hamster facepaint New Foxestalkers ~ Sparky is Handy Andy, IOW fox is Moby, Frenzied & mate (in a non-gay way), and kissing Teeno (in a totally gay way) Gooner prat telling Tadman to shush Singalonga Smiths in the Borough Squid for supper ...oh, wasn't there a football match or something on yesterday too?
Fosse Boy Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Stuff from yesterday keeps coming back all the time. Great times. Found the Essex Police notice that I nicked from the concourse yesterday. It's now taken pride of place on my bedroom door. Buying various inflatables to throw into the crowd. Shouting "HARBOROUGH!!!" in a drunken fashion down the Radio Leicester mic after the game. Doubt it was turned on, but I actually thought I was on air. Obviously outsinging the Arsenal and Chelsea ****** in the pub was a highlight. Playing stupid games on the train back to Billericay. To anyone around us who joined in with "Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve!!!" in the second half, I love you and truly believe that it was the mental torture that we put Steve Mildenhall through that won us the game. On a serious-ish note, I honestly couldn't believe how many Leicester fans were actually stood up for the entire game. Don't think I've ever been able to stand up so close to the front row before.

I loved that Steeeeve mental toture we gave him - Good to meet you though mate On the day, it was good, but I just had to fall ill on that day. I literally dragged myself out of bed with a terrible developing fatal man flu, and it has gone worse now. But it was well worth it, still. I'm suffering with the consequences now. But I hope I haven't spread it out to anyone around me yesterday. And fair play to that Derby fan who saved my day at London St Pancras. Bless him.

We shouted 'Kareem' at you after driving by you post match. Outside the train station you were.
Fosse Boy Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I loved that Steeeeve mental toture we gave him - Good to meet you though mate The feeling's mutual. Even if I did have to stand on my seat to get a half decent view of the game at some points.
Corky Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 AFIE, did you arrive into Southend about 11.30? I think you were on my train.
Guest Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Yesterday was just the best. It was a shame nobody would ride the phallic rollercoaster with me. That would have topped off a mighty fine day!
Fosse Boy Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 AFIE, did you arrive into Southend about 11.30?I think you were on my train. Yes, I believe we did arrive about that time. None of our group had any colours on (apart from my pin badge). Whereabouts were you? I saw a couple of guys in Leicester shirts at Colchester station before we got the bus down to Billericay...

I saw a couple of guys in Leicester shirts at Colchester station before we got the bus down to Billericay... I saw the two you are talking about. They were on our replacement coach that broke down on the way back I had my yellow away shirt on but my coat was zipped up. You were with about four others and sat near Kareem at the match?

They were on our replacement coach that broke down on the way back I had my yellow away shirt on but my coat was zipped up. You were with about four others and sat near Kareem at the match? Yep, that sounds about right. If I knew what you looked like I'd have come and said hello! Did you see/hear us on the train? We were up and down the corridors quite a lot, and singing the Cheltenham song much to the bemusment of most of our carriage. The bus driver on the way down threatened to confiscate some cider from one of those guys before he got on the coach. Made me feel like starting a "Freedom for Strongbow!" chant a la Hereford. We managed to sneak a couple of tins on the back row of the bus though!
Daggers Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 ...and the celebrity fans joined in the post-match celebrations
Katy Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Oh my dear Lord, that was one of the best days of my life, nailing promotion and the League title on the same day was immense. Was so, so proud today and standing in the FT aisle © (C-man 2009) with everyone just made it all the more brilliant. I had to pay for Alex's Spongebob Square pants face as no one had any cash on them so it was down to me to pay! I MADE YOU ALEX! Bloody brilliant day and weekend, it will live long in the memory I think. Now for Facebook photo upload-a-thon! Yesterday was fucking awesome. I'm just delighted that we've managed to get ourselves straight back out of this division.Nice to meet Lovejoy and Kareem in the ground. "Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve!!!!!!!!" Also thought the Southend fans were pretty good, apart from the obvious unsavoury police incident. "CHAMPIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONS!!!!!!!!!" Sorry, didn't realise that was you on the train on the way back. I felt a bit rude when Fez or Alex told me who you were.
Fosse Boy Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Sorry, didn't realise that was you on the train on the way back. I felt a bit rude when Fez or Alex told me who you were. That's quite alright.
Frenzied Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Brilliant day from start to finish. Great to meet loads of foxestalkers - what a top bunch. Was doing the conga on the train back to Limehouse with a load of Southend fans and some dutch geezers.
Sparky Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 What a fecking weekend Nice to meet the FTers i hadnt met before and it was a right good crack in the borough pub where we had our very own Essex girl for entertainment Maybes , Ched , Tommeh , JME and Smutts left me and the Missus in a pub on the front around 11 ish to head in to the centre . When we walked in to the centre ourselves we saw the lads and they could not get in any bars because their ID had Leicester postcodes , were they worried ? HELL NO !! They came up with this beauty in full voice " We cant get in , who gives a fook , were Leicester boys and were going up " AWESOME Oh and Raspberry Fool is by far the greatest real ale ive ever tasted !!!
Maybes Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 What an EPIC day and night. Pre match beers on the seafront in the sunshine was a joy. The game itself was pretty poor on our part but do we care? Do we fook!!! Plenty of atmosphere in the FT aisle and the Leicester end in whole. Matty Fryatts penaltly cueing mad celebrations...people fall down the Aisles etc. Oh and as for Babylon's comment on no pitch invasion...have a word with yourself. Two lines of Stewards and Police with 2 yard gaps inbetween each of them ....no fooking chance!! Maxi Gradels sex dance should be featured on Britains got talent! Kerrea Gilbert in the away end Hero. Jack Hobbs loving it at City...surely signing him?! Post match beers and atmos in the Borough with plastic Arsenal/Chelsea fans What a joke when we headed into the town centre though....checking every single persons ID queuing for the clubs for LE postcodes ridiculous, pratically shut the town down from City followers!! All in all a fantastic day with the FT lot.

clazkel Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 What a great day, loved every minute of it! I dont want this season to end. You cant beat away games in league 1, small grounds, being close to the pitch. I wish i stayed over though rather than coming back same day. Whaaaaattttt a daaayyyyyy!!!! Championees, Championees!!!!
Tommeh Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Just got back....Unbelivable weekend!! Stunning win, amazing celebrations for goals and at the end....taking over the Borough....Gunners ....CHAMPIONS NANDO'S. OH and The pub we ended up in till half 2 what a fooking dive The only place in Southend that ANY leicester fans got in!! Played Rocking over the world for us, went down a treat. Ended with a decent pillow war last night, Crazy Golf this morning, a badly timed fire alarm in our premier inn and a fantastic Breakky on the front. Cannot describe that weekend.
Simi Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Just got in myself. What a day. Great amount of standing going on so top marks to everyone that did, never seen aisles so rammed, was carnage when we scored, ended up getting my leg trapped in a chair which made it harder to get down the front, still made it though. Pre-match beers on the sea front was decent but then afterwards it got a lot better. Plastic Arse and Chels fans did not have a clue what to do when we started singing 12 Days of Ormondroyd and all the old classics. Surely a video of that somewhere? Nandos was spot on and filled a big whole before a lot more beer was consumed when we finally found somewhere that would let us in. Security said the DJ couldn't play We Are The Champions 'cos it would get to rowdy . However we did settle for Rocking All Over the World, was funny when all the Leicester lads just turned up on the dancelfoor at the same time all knowing the score. Hear I made a SSN appearance as well which I hope to see at somepoint. All in all a ****ing brilliant weekend. lovely stuff.

Celebrations in the FT Aisle were unbelievably good, can't really do them justice with words. Crowd surge was painful, thick lip and bruise on the eye bone - WELL worth it! Mediawhored the life out of the photos post-match, stood behind the man that had the flag (not Face Paint Hislop!). Gradel's dancing and general happiness was a delightful sight Dickov being ignored was hilarious. Major kudos to Dwayne for running over to celebrate with everyone after being in the crowd during the game. Also to Astrit for joining in with Ring of Fire! Post-match, absolute shambles trying to find a hotel and missing atmosphere pub. Though from 9 onwards it was quality. DJ refusing to play We Are The Champions, Hey Jude and Ring of Fire was disgusting. As was Tom dancing to Chelsea Dagger and pretending to be Bernie this morning. The stereotypes about Essex are very true. Smuts had a 'mare at golf. CLUNGE!

Ed 1 Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Saw Mattock, Kee and Ashley Chambers in vice in Loughborough last night. Needless to say they were havin a great time. Mattock especially was beaming from ear to ear. Billy Kee said that he has signed a two year professional contract. Can anybody (knowitall) shed any light??? Quality outside afterwards when everyone starts singing championes!
