Fez of Mahrez Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Still surprised we got served at Tesco's this morning with our LE postcodes. lol When we got back to London, we encountered a middle-aged woman dressed up to the nines loudly declaring in the poshest accent I've ever heard: "I have been eating curry all day". ****ing bizarre.

Corky Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Lucky pre-match breakfast: I'm going to have to have one before every match next season now. Did you eat that at a cafe near the seafront? I had a similar meal to that before the match.
Daggers Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Did you eat that at a cafe near the seafront?I had a similar meal to that before the match. Nope - The Glenwood in Westcliff, my favourite cafe of all-time. The most miserablist Cockney bastard owner and the friendliest but rude staff. Love it.

Milan Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 After last year it is good to see players like Dyer and Gradel so happy at the success.
Fosse Boy Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 We walked past the Sky Sports camera on the seafront before the game. I asked them if they'd interview us, but as my mate quite correctly observed - "A bunch of lads walking down the seafront not wearing colours and holding tins of beer, we're hardly the image of Leicester's fans that Sky Sports want to show, are we?"
Cat Burger Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 All I'm going to say is: (8)BBC RADIO LEICESTER(8)

20mj08 Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 sorry its a late entry but had recovering and commitments since the game. WHAT A DAY tho. it was one hell of a day even if my fosters surfbord got a hole in it somewhere:( to go to the beach after and see so many city fans in good spirit and the sea front turned blue let alone bantering the arsenal fans out the pub!! not forgetting this one in a while champions!!!!!!!!!!!
Thracian Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Sounds like I missed the equivalent of a date with Julia Roberts. One of those ecstatic goose-pimples days that are as memorable as they are rare. Hearing the second half on the radio and the celebrations afterwards I envied every one of you. Nigel, the players and the fans so deserved to live the moment and I just hope there's something special from the team to sign off with in the last home game on Friday amidst what should be a carnival atmosphere. Happy days once more. :scarf:
Fosse Boy Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Ian Ormandroyd song here! I feature in this video.
Scow Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Yesterday was one of the best days of my live - loved every minute of it. Me and Cobbo set off at 8 and took the train down there. Had a couple of beers (Cobras!) on the train and then met Lisa, Sir Fynwy and Daggers at The Last Post. Drank myself silly with beer/vodka, but thankfully, I actually remembered the game. We were pretty poor throughout and lucky to grab a win, however, I don't care. Got back to Leicester and then don't remember much else. I got the last bus back and ended up somewhere in Loughborough after falling asleep. I was a mess. We deserved yesterday and it goes a long way to making up for the last 5 years of shit.
