Tuna Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Thanks mate, Wish Leeds all the best in the play-offs. The championship needs a team like Leeds United in it and I will be supporting them in the play-offs. Grayson's a nice guy and I think Leeds deserve to go up. They would have wone promotion comfortably last season were it not for the -15.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Cheers you boys (and girls?) in white, some good results for you today too. Can see you coming up with us via the play-offs. And lets face it, for all we are saying straight back up, you would have done it last season were it not for the points penalty.
yorksfox Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Thanks to the Leeds fans - believe me I'm a Yorkshire Fox and there are thousands of decent Leeds fans, many living close to me! I sincerely hope that with Simon Grayson at the helm you clinch promotion.
Guest Bilo Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Let's at least be dignified in victory and admit that it is a great gesture from True White and any other Leeds fan that offer their congratulations. They must be feeling disappointed by the way their season has gone, and doubly disappointed that the title winner is the only other 'big fish' in the division. Bitching about the way other Leeds fans have conducted themselves helps nobody, the morons are now conspicuous by their absence whereas the decent and sensible ones have been big enough to hang around and take all the banter after their defeat on Monday, as well as offering their congratulations today.
iancognito Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Im so happy i might shag a Leeds lass tonight! Whilst imagining Liv Tyler working the pole in the centre circle..... Mmmmm Liv......
demon_dog Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Unlike some on this thread, I will graciously accept the congratulations of non Leicester City supporting fans. It doesn't matter if they are from Leeds, Forest, Derby, Coventry et al.. It means that as true football fans they are simply offering their best wishes on such a great achievement. With that I'd would simply like to return the compliment and wish their team all the best for the future.
dilbert Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Was on here most of last week. Congratulations from another Leeds fan. Easily the most consistent side all season. We consolidated our position in the playoffs today so we might see you next year. Enjoy your success.

Looks like Leeds v Milwall in the playoffs though.... how much is that second leg gonna cost to police !!?!

We consolidated our position in the playoffs today so we might see you next year. Enjoy your success. I hope you lose in the final again and stay down and I hope you can remember what ken bates said about Leicester city when he was at Chelsea..... so captain birdseye and his team go run under a bus.

Looking more likely as a semi final though which would surely be better than trying to police the tube on final day!

Fox in a Box Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Don't worry - we don't like him either Good. Fatt lard.
worksopfox Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Thanks to all the true Leeds fans for their congratulations! Good Luck in the Play Offs.
dilbert Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Good. Fatt lard. Me or him? Out of interest just what did Bates say about Leicester? I personally think he's trying to run Leeds to the ground as punishment for us knicking his scoreboard in the 80s!

Dear FiaB you seem very angry lashing out at Posh and Leeds fans who have come on the board to congratulate us. What's with all the hatred fella? Just enjoy our success
Fox in a Box Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Me or him?YOU? HIM...sorry HIM Out of interest just what did Bates say about Leicester? I personally think he's trying to run Leeds to the ground as punishment for us knicking his scoreboard in the 80s! In January 2000, following a fifth round FA Cup tie defeat by Chelsea for his Leicester City side, Martin O'Neill voiced the thoughts of many in a press room outburst. O'Neill said: 'On top of everything, you get footballing cretins like Ken Bates writing in his programme notes that we would come along and play for penalties.' Bates' response was it "takes one to know one."

If Swansea can there's no reason Leicester can't.

Agreed. And we'd love it if they made it up through the playoffs. We can go through Monday's game all over again next season!
J.Lisemore Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 one of leeds fans congratulates us so you have a pop at them? talk about a sore winner. No, i'm just telling it how it is. And if you hadn't noticed...most of them don't like us.
lcfc81 Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Leeds have grown on me this year. Have some decent fans (when you get passed some of the louder ones) and to have one posting congratulations (as with Posh fans) says something about their character. Thats sealed it for me now, would like to see Peterborough and Leeds up with us. Good luck. Edit: Just seen PotC for MK Dons so wouldn't mind them going up either
Hullfox Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 Just popped across to WANKOE to see their thread on us going up, they really are bitter bless em. I fooking hope they stay down. I am sooooo lovin today.
Ultra Posted 18 April 2009 Posted 18 April 2009 No, i'm just telling it how it is. And if you hadn't noticed...most of them don't like us. Like we should care... If they ackowledge class when they see it.... good on them!
