Lillehamring Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 How about Ethyn? thats what we named our son I sthat short for Ethynol i believe Brooklyn would be a great name for any young child, especially when they are in their 40s seriously, though, how can you think of calling him anything but 'Pearson'
Webbo Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 As someone with an unusual christian name I'd advise against anything too weird. Personally I prefer names with lots of alternative nick names like James/Jamie/Jim or Robert/Rob/Bob etc.
Leicfox Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I'm expecting a baby around October and we're still considering names. We aren't sure on gender yet but believe it to be a boy. We wanted a modern and individual name but of course it's hard to pick on just one you're really happy with!A name for each would be nice though Female = Evangeline.
Fosse Boy Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 depends on your surname, it's a dangerous game naming kids without thinking of the school bully consequences! Think that applies more for boys names than girls names to be honest. He said modern and individual..Call him Tyrone. Oh and if it is of any use there was a lad at my old school called Nike. I believe at the last census there were three people called Reebok and two called Adidas in this country. A guy I know who's a Norwich fan has been promised by his missus that if they ever have two boys, he'll be allowed to name the second Iwan Robert in the great man's honour. Names like Tyler seem to be hardly unique these days either, go for something retro I say.
lou Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Whoever suggested Oliver I agree......... Oliver Bailey has a nice ring to it. Pls dont call him/her anything chavvy.......... was just about to give some examples then thought better of it in case I offend anyone whos given their kid one of them! I like Irish names and called my Son Kieran. My daughters are Carinne and Aleah (we had her before that bloody Alliyah woman was big in the charts and had never heard the name before) now theres loads of them! Retro names are also good
Samilktray Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Steve Potter. That din'alf make me laugh on MSN.
Jordan Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Not sure if the internet meme version of this was posted in the demotivational posters thread, but I'm too lazy to look. As for the Pearson name suggestion, for some reason, I picture a child with that name not growing up to be like the Nige, but rather destined to have a full, neatly-trimmed gray beard, smoke out of a pipe and drink Campari.

Retro names are also good we called our daughter 'ella' thinking we were being 'different' but we went back for the 'pre-natal' group reunion and another couple there had called their daughter ella too, and since we've known of loads of the bleeders! annoying!
Zingari Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Shigella and Clamydia are getting quite popular these days , I'm told
