Dan Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Hows Blackburn a bad call? 5,500 away tickets sounds nice to me (will only work if its like first day though )
FilboFox Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Pretty much all of them have to be better quality than this seasons don't they...
Maybes Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Hows Blackburn a bad call? 5,500 away tickets sounds nice to me (will only work if its like first day though ) 5,500? Where has that figure come from?

Koke Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 5,500? Where has that figure come from? I think I've seen teams like Newcastle and Man Yoo get an allocation of 5.000 for Ewood Park. I could be wrong though.
Maybes Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I think I've seen teams like Newcastle and Man Yoo get an allocation of 5.000 for Ewood Park. I could be wrong though. Is that just the bottom tier? Im sure they dont get given any in the top tier? Ewood Park is a library.
C-man Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Hows Blackburn a bad call? 5,500 away tickets sounds nice to me (will only work if its like first day though ) How would we sell 5500 tickets for Blackburn? EDIT: Especially at Premiership prices!

Ultra Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 How would we sell 5500 tickets for Blackburn? EDIT: Especially at Premiership prices! It isn't that long ago that we took 7000 there for a cup game. And as Paul Dickov will confirm, Man City once had a massive promotion party there. It would be wonderful if we could do likewise.

You can't really compare that to a rainy November Tuesday in the second tier (if that's the way the fixtures pan out) can you?

It would be wonderful if we could do likewise. I am aware of that. I was there, and it was a FA Cup Quarter-Final at reduced ticket prices.
Ultra Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 If we had a chance of going up, and played at Ewood towards the end of the season, we'd take as many as we could lay tickets on. But Allardyce will probably keep them in the top flight anyway, so speculation is pointless.

Yeah that'd be great if that was the case. But it'd be the same as any other ground. You're right, speculation is pointless.
Alexikokopops Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Pretty much all of them have to be better quality than this seasons don't they... :| :| What are you on FilboFox?!
Fox92 Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 I'm loving that section of your predicted league - looks like the Premier League from 10 years or so ago! Yes, it does actually.
C-man Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 :| :| What are you on FilboFox?! He clearly just went to MK Dons.
Corky Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Pretty much all of them have to be better quality than this seasons don't they... Erm........
Floating Fox Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 He might as well have just said Bolton away would be a great day out to be honest. Worst ground ever! I think I've seen teams like Newcastle and Man Yoo get an allocation of 5.000 for Ewood Park. I could be wrong though. It can go up to 7000 for big teams as they don't really have any fans...and don't usually use the upper tier. We'd be lucky if we took more than 2'000 really. And yeah...It's an awfull away day really.

You can't really compare that to a rainy November Tuesday in the second tier (if that's the way the fixtures pan out) can you? To be fair I did put at the start of the season, rainy November Tuesday night would be crap we'd take 1,500 max.
Fosse Boy Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 To be fair I did put at the start of the season, rainy November Tuesday night would be crap we'd take 1,500 max. Yeah, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't take as many as 7,000 to any game next year though. Even on a sunny day in August.
SamL Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 I've got so many good memories from our last few seasons in the Championship so there's definitely going to be some decent games, regardless of where we are in the table. I'm particular looking forward to games such as Preston, Bristol City, Barnsley, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United (Providing they're still in the Championship). Also looking forward to visiting a few new grounds such as Doncaster, Cardiff, Swansea and Blackpool.
foxaholic Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 How would we sell 5500 tickets for Blackburn? EDIT: Especially at Premiership prices! Blackburn are cheaper than Leicester are in Div 1
