Good job "footy" doesn't attract such types, eh?..

lol

It's a while since I saw someone as deluded as this. Their trophy count presents them with the justification they need.

But at least they don't come out with monkey noises or "no surrender" chants.

Wow - I didn't know you were Gene Hunt in disguise. I have news for you. Kajagoogoo are NOT the future of rock 'n' roll..

Seriously, though, it was good to see the Kop applauding Martin Johnson (who attended a comprehensive in Leicestershire by the way) and Rendall Munroe at half-time last night.

At least one section of our fanbase has the class to recognise people of achievement when they see them.:thumbup:

Mate you asked your my opinion on why people have issues with the ruggers, and i gave you my own opinion, accusing me of delusion of lack of class and other insults (thought rugby fans weren't meant to be like that :giggle: ), ill just take as a joke because you don't no me......you like the game, i don't, end of.....i won't have a go at you! Peace!

It might be something to do with the way that some of the supporters of that other team treat and refer to City and its fans with utter contempt.

judging by the threads that pop up now and again, it sounds like there's a lot of city fans who are just as bad... in fact some of the ignorance about rugby and the tigers is frankly embarrassing.

i find rugby very frustrating to watch these days, although it can be very exciting too, but its great to have a local team that are one of the best teams in europe

what was the score this weekend, when they topped the table, 73-3?

jesus, two league champions from the same city -

and someone said this is just a footy town :crylaugh:

What a nonsense merchant you can be.

So a few people were hacked off that the game got moved cos of the Tigers and had a sing-song about it, big deal.

If you want to bang on about how amazing Tigers are, go to General Football and Sport.

Meh i don't have a problem with the Tigers, i wouldn't have a clue if they or successful or not as i don't follow them, i just have a problem with the people who supposedly follow the sport and how they look down upon the "peasants" who love their "wendyball", i meet them all the time at uni, they haven't a clue about the game but just say they do just to attain some form of fooking social status!

I went to a Tigers game once and all you'd hear around you was "ooo you don't see that in football", "ooo this is a mans game, unlike football", "ooo these players aren't puffs like footballers"..always beginning a sentence with ooo! I just realised how pathetic they are, desperately trying to justify themselves being at Welford Road rather than the Walkers, must be pretty cold being in our shadow!

I just found their jealously and bitterness that the city still couldn't give a shit about their game despite the fact we are in the third tier of english football, and the fact that nationally rugby doesn't even register on peoples radar! i also no a couple of uni mates who were pretty embarrassed by how few they got today attendance wise! but still they'll give it the "footballs for girls" bollocks! the snobbery gets to me! if some of you think the city part-timers are bad, speak to a an average rugby "fan" and their lack of knowledge will rock your world!!

Rugby = public school ponce game for fat people to play, end of story for me

Why is the biggest gate at the walkers the Tigers most leicester fans are quite favourable to the Tigers whereas in a place like northampton they hate each other

Because there was no segregation between fans and so therefore every seat could be filled, unlike when City play, seats are always used to separate fans, and besides these games were european quarter finals or semi finals if my memory serves me right! It would be interesting to see how many City would get if we were in the semi-final of a Champions League....i'd stick my neck out and say we could possibly fill the Emirates or even Old Trafford on our own if that was the case!

To summise i'd love to no what the average Tigers average attendance would be if they were in the third tier of English Rugby....if that level actually exists!, maybe if we ever drop to the Conference their average attendance might beat ours and the local and national media might give them more of a look in, until that time ill stick with my belief that is a football town!

I'll repeat again though, i have no problem with the Tigers and i certainly don't "hate" them, it's the people that follow the game, i'm sick of the game of football getting pilloried from pillar to post by these people, i just think it's time us "puffball" fans bit back! :D

There is such a vast amount of bollocks in this thread I can't even bring myself to address all the shite in constructive argument. So I won't. Here's how it is:

If you were singing about the IRA you are a cock.

Fans and players of sport are individuals and 'one team in Leicester' and the labeling of all rugby fans is bollocks. If you want to like football and rugby thats OK, I have played and follow both and anybody with a problem with that is a cock.

If you turn up to celebrate your team winning but don't come the rest of the year the truth is you are not as dedicated as the week-in week-outers, though that doesn't measure comparably, your love for your team. Fans have different jobs, budgets, responsibilities and life commitments. Gary Linekers family still worked saturdays on Leicester Market when he started playing and that didn't mean that they supported Gary or the club less than anyone else that attended. They and others do not deserve to be made to feel badly because of these differences, though if you take them to heart to the point it makes you angry, you may want to check your cock-ometer and balance proportionality with a pinch of salt. (The chants were not exactly threatening now were they....... and I'm sure for some there may have been a ring of truth.... n'est pas?)

If you were singing about German Bombers in the air you may well be in danger of becoming a cock and should maybe have a look at yourself and have a little think about what that may have to do with Leicester City Football Club winning the 2009 League 1 Championship.

There I said it.

I agree, if it weren't for them frickers I would of been at one of our greatest celebrations ever (my greatest is still the win over Derby at Wembley) cos it would of been on Saturday afternoon. The cnts ruined my night (I still had a party though)

Exactly. If them same fans were born in the Republic of Ireland they would now be supporting the IRA

What gets me is the people that havn't turned up all season because ''League One is a shit league'', yet as soon as we've won the ''shit league'' they all of a sudden think its time to turn up. Hypocritical.

:giggle: - and the main flaw with this post? the tigers are not in the third tier, and they regularly play in european semi's and final - leicester is blessed with having quality rugby AND football team...

get over it.

great post.

and no less for the liberal sprinkling of the word 'cock' throughout :giggle:

At the Leeds game I had someone behind me who kept moaning after about 10minutes he was saying "I haven't been down here for 7 years and with this football I won't be down here for another 7" he also tapped me on the shoulder a few times telling me to sit down!! now I wasn't the only one standing I was going with the flow as they say standing with the rest of the crowd!!!

them sort of part timers if that's the word really do annoy me!!

earlier in the season some goober was sat a few rows behind who did the same, think we had a few corners a bit of sustained pressure so naturally people started standing while he started shouting at people to sit down, telling them to stop behaving like kids and not to swear in songs as they wouldn't swear at home or something, went of complaining to a steward and when stand up if you love Leicester started remained firmly sat in his seat with arms crossed.

you could maybe call it season ticket snobbery but it does grate on me a little when I have been sat in the same seat since the very first game at the walkers with the majority of the same people around all behaving in exactly the same way standing up for corners etc and someone who you have never seen before starts moaning and poking you in the back on numerous occasions.

I don't have any problems with people going to a few games and picking and choosing it's an expensive hobby especially if you are a family going together, it's just the miserable ones who feel inclined to whinge and moan at everyone around them understand not everyone wants to sing but just go with the flow a little and lighten up a bit try and enjoy yourself!!

I'm just proffering a viewpoint. I have actually posted in the past that I am 'lucky' enough to know a few Tiggers fans who actually do look for our results and actually do want City to do well, as it's good for the city etc.

I thought L1 singing that yesterday was top banter!

I had one part-timer yesterday who sung Micky Adams is king, shows how long he hadn't been for! Haha!

Although to be fair it took me about 5 years to stop singing Brian Little's King by mistake ..... in fact i think it was when Micky took the reigns that I'd finally got out the habit!

No but this is a football city, always has been and always will be, it shouldn't be us thats having to move to accommodate them! ahh well, least when there back from whenst they came we'll never hear from them again

There's so much bollocks in your post, I don't know where to start, so I'll just say that I bet you're gutted they'll be playing at the Walkers again in a couple of weeks! lol

Saturday 9th May, against Bath.

They're gonna ruin our pitch in time for the start of the new season.

Fine.

This, especially when you consider 30 odd thousand people and a championship trophy celebration had to be moved for 18 thousand today :@

We sold out, it's not like the club lost anything from it. LCFC probably earned a fair whack off it too.

If anything, it contributed to the atmosphere and fireworks display.

No but this is a football city, always has been and always will be, it shouldn't be us thats having to move to accommodate them! ahh well, least when there back from whenst they came we'll never hear from them again

I'm sorry, but how can you possibly suggest that it has always been a football city, when our rugby team is the most successful team in the history of English rugby. They sell out every home game and are building their own super stadium as we speak.

Mate your right, the scrum is just an excuse for one big gay fook i reckon, no wonder everyones so bloody quiet when they are watching it, there all tossing off!

I played rugby for 10 years, and suprisingly, I never once saw a big gay fuck, and even more suprisingly, I never saw a fan having a crafty wank behind the clubhouse.

I'll repeat again though, i have no problem with the Tigers and i certainly don't "hate" them, it's the people that follow the game, i'm sick of the game of football getting pilloried from pillar to post by these people, i just think it's time us "puffball" fans bit back! :D

Yes, Tigers fans really do have a problem with City fans. Get off your high horse and consider the fact that some of them might not give a shit?

Meh i don't have a problem with the Tigers, i wouldn't have a clue if they or successful or not as i don't follow them, i just have a problem with the people who supposedly follow the sport and how they look down upon the "peasants" who love their "wendyball", i meet them all the time at uni, they haven't a clue about the game but just say they do just to attain some form of fooking social status!

And this post doesn't deserve my time of day. I'm off for lunch so I can be a fat cunt and play a ponce sport like Rugby.

I was, as a kid, made to go to watch the Tigers with my Dad, who's been a ST holder for as long as I can remember as have most of my family so Im happy when they do well, purely for the sake of my loved ones who pay a lot of money out to go and support them.

If only I could say the same thing for most of them , who constantly rag me about City being "shit" and all the usual cliches about footballers being poofs and rugby players being real men etc etc...... Ive watched plenty of Rugby matches and found it boring and lacking atmosphere.... very little in the way of singing, chanting etc and its basically not for me. Ive not met a tigers fan yet who wishes City well and doesnt look down their noses at us.

I just wonder, if the Tigers were to have a bad season, how many of their "die hard" fans would evaporate into the night and not renew the next season... quite a few I expect.

The way I see it is that if the Tigers were in the 3rd tier and we were achieving the champions league year in year out. We'd hit 50,000 and they'd struggle for 10.

Fair play to them over achiving to fu ck but its the snotty nosed arseholes always looking down on us after a 0-1 home defeat to Burnley after they destroy Wasps 63-12 or something. Cannot stand them, and whilst I realise there are exceptions I'm yet to meet any.

Exactly, and those that argue that the Tigers are of equal or greater stature to us because of their success in a league that consists of 12 teams which has only been legit and professional since 1987 is pretty fooking embarrassing to be honest

You are embarrassing yourself now. Although union didn't turn professional until 1995, not 1987, the RFU has been in existence since 1871. That does not mean that top level egg chasers do not deserve any credit before the game turned professional, in fact it warrants the opposite, as many top international players had full time jobs as well. Even at amateur level today, I would like to see you up against some of these guys.

Tiggers were formed before City (1880), so it could be argued that the city is a rugby one, and not a football town, if you want to be pedantic.
