L1 "tut tut" lesson one !

Yeah, look at all the Euro semis we've been in, eh?

They have a contract to broadcast our matches, therefore they don't have the choice.

Err, no they don't. On the Monday after European games (and sometimes after Premiership ones too) the lead story will generally be Tigers-related

Regardless of TV coverage, the reality is when their new stand is opened next season we will be struggling to attract higher gates than them. If we do, it will only be because the Chamionship has far greater numbers of away fans than the Guinness Premiership does.

The main source of "bitterness" stems from those on this thread who have an inferiority complex.

I see numeracy skills are not your strong point. Never mind, I'll see you at the Way on 25th July. Are you taking part?

I think that even for you that last point was bang out of order.

What was 'the IRA shit' - I don't remember anything like that...

are you serious?

TBF I was in the West Stand/KOP Corner and I didn't hear any "10 German Bombers", IRA or even "Where were you" chants.

This thread is pathetic.

Might be.

But did you get your tickets from "Ye Olde white trailer"?

P.S IRA,German Bomber songs etc... DO NOT help celebrate City winning the League One Trophy/Cup thing.

Thats all im saying on the matter.

KNOBS!!!

Meh i don't have a problem with the Tigers, i wouldn't have a clue if they or successful or not as i don't follow them, i just have a problem with the people who supposedly follow the sport and how they look down upon the "peasants" who love their "wendyball", i meet them all the time at uni, they haven't a clue about the game but just say they do just to attain some form of fooking social status!

I went to a Tigers game once and all you'd hear around you was "ooo you don't see that in football", "ooo this is a mans game, unlike football", "ooo these players aren't puffs like footballers"..always beginning a sentence with ooo! I just realised how pathetic they are, desperately trying to justify themselves being at Welford Road rather than the Walkers, must be pretty cold being in our shadow!

I just found their jealously and bitterness that the city still couldn't give a shit about their game despite the fact we are in the third tier of english football, and the fact that nationally rugby doesn't even register on peoples radar! i also no a couple of uni mates who were pretty embarrassed by how few they got today attendance wise! but still they'll give it the "footballs for girls" bollocks! the snobbery gets to me! if some of you think the city part-timers are bad, speak to a an average rugby "fan" and their lack of knowledge will rock your world!!

Rugby = public school ponce game for fat people to play, end of story for me

Did a tigers fan sleep with your wife?

Mate your right, the scrum is just an excuse for one big gay fook i reckon, no wonder everyones so bloody quiet when they are watching it, there all tossing off!

Yes rugby is a sport played by gays. Everyones got there hands in there trousers masturbating as soon as the referee calls for a scrum.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm, the fact that it has fuck all to do with Leicester and is pretty xenophobic?

Okay... blimey! Hadn't realised how football had become quite so worthy all of a sudden.

There were enough people in K/L Block singing it, so I assume not everyone shares this viewpoint that we're no longer allowed to jokingly go about historic events?

Whatever happened to the good old days of Fawlty Towers 'Don't mention the war!', and all that? Okay it's got nothing to do with Leicester but does it really have to?

BTW agree that this thread is a bit pathetic. "Where were you..." chants were lighthearted and should have been taken as so. And clearly, there is more than one sporting team in Leicester. What's the point of arguing about which is 'bigger' or whatever.

I personally can't really get interested in rugby but it doesn't mean I resent the fact that the Tigers exist - in fact I'm always pleased to see that at least the city is getting some high-profile exposure (which to be fair LCFC has somewhat failed to do in recent years)...

Apologies for bringing the Tigers stuff into this thread I realise it's been done to death.

As an aside did anyone see L1 do "sit down for the champions" with probably about ten minutes left. Thought that was pretty impressive and wierd being in it, just wondering if any other areas of the ground saw it.

From the above comment to the below...

If you're happy to see fcukwits embarass themselves, their club and their city, go to Waccoe.

I hope L1 is stewarded properly next season, unlike Friday night.

I've got to admit, I think that the 10,000 extra fans did create a better atmosphere last night. However, you can't just turn up to watch your team when you're playing well. Will these people turn up to watch us play Burnley on a cold Tuesday night in January when we're near the bottom of the league? No.

You've got to stick by your team, through thick and thin. You can't just turn up when the going gets good, you've got to stick by them when it's not so good.

I actually agree with Maddog, for once :P. The people there last night, who hadn't hardly been all season, have missed out on a great season. We've had so many highs, with hardly any lows, which we can't say we've had for many years. Their loss really isn't it.

Why not? There some sort of rule about that that I've not read.

(in a non existant rule book)

Cos we'll have sold out before it gets to general sale?

Only missed three in the league this season, want to do the whole lot next time out. Can take or leave homes but aways are quality.

You know it.

Annoying when you've got to be back for Sunday morning though.

Think I might have to do Palace though.
