Sorry but if you're a fan of this club why would you have made a post like that after saying that you wouldn't celebrate promotion because we shouldn't even be in this league? How can that be in the best interests of Leicester City? I really hate this sort of attitude, do you want a special medal for being a "proper fan" or do you want to support a football team?

As for me, I hate nobheads full stop. We have them at away games, we have them at home games. Last night we had more than normal. My actions have never been based upon them being in the best interests of Leicester City, thats a pretty bad foundation to base your life upon.

Would I rather be amongst 20,000 true fans or a 30,000 full house with a 30% smattering of tw@ts. Give me the first any day. Mr Mandaric may beg to differ though.

Not sure really, but theres a good percentage of the 20,000 home fans we normally have that are Tw@ts sadly.. the sort of Tw@ts that booed em off when we were top of the league and drawing 1-1  I didnt have any tw@ts around me last night.... only the ones that are there every week slating Howard and Oakley.

Lou, my point wasn't that we have 20,000 true fans, I said earlier that we have tw@ts watch us at home too. I was using nice round numbers because I guessed that Ronnup would have more chance of understanding.

I would still personally rather be among a smaller number of people who are true fans than have idiots slathering nonsense all around me.

Ain't that the truth. Part-time or full-time, new or old there's always twats at City :D

Members of the crowd that can't handle 'You've only come for the trophy' chants inside a football ground may have trouble in the real outside world.

Exactly; if you have followed City as much and as often as you believe is right, then you shouldn't feel insulted by last nights chanting, as it clearly isn't aimed at you.

The banter was great, the nobbers songs were not welcolme. I thought that the songs which were made up on the night were excellent. In L when we all sat down for the champions was real banter and only something the people in L or K who stand week in week out would really appreciate. L on the whole is great and although some people are twatish that imo is a price that is paid to being amonst people who want to stand and sing. I am not defending the twats just being realistic about how football fans are.

My thoughts exactly.

I can't take all this winning and celebrations, I'm having 'watching shit and being bottom of the league' withdrawal symptoms.

I'm not sure it is a case of not being able to handle it, it just seemed completely unnecessary on what was supposed to be a night of celebration. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I though it killed the atmosphere but it even had chance to get going.

I am sweating and have the shakes man.

I couldnt attend last night, and i have to make 200 mile round trip to home games, but i get up as much as i can,and i have enjoyed this season just as much as any games i have attended wether it be CCC or premier league, either way depending on your standpoint, its good for the club and thats the main thing i for one would happily have the part time fans, coming to the games generating revenue for the club,if it secures the clubs future that benefits us all,i know Southamton supporters are worried that they might not have a club to support next seaon.

You know what? If I'm honest, I reckon those chants were deserved. Were they there when we played Yeovil or Crewe? I bet some have Man U or Liverpool shirts hanging up in their rooms. Also, the thing that sickens me is that most man u, liverpool fans say that if we got to the Premiership they would get a season ticket!

I've had that said to me by many people also. Pathetic.

That refers back to my earlier point.

Some of these people will even claim they've supported us all along.

The thing is I, and i assume quite a few posters on here are Season ticket holders, but to see a full house and then the fans turning on each other on a day of celebration, is embarrassing. For me personally anyway.

There was just no need for the chanting, even if it was just for fun, it was a time to celebrate and all Leicester fans to get behind the team not take the mick out of our own fans, it just put a dampner on a brilliant night, as i did find it really embarrassing

For me personally, it's as I stated earlier. I know not everyone can get to games, I've been in that position myself, and believe me, I hated not being able to be there to support the team. But I have never, ever said that I would not support my team after it has been relegated, which a lot of people have done.

This time last year, people posted on this forum, as well as others, saying that they would not support the team in League One, and for all the wrong reasons. People phoned up the Moan In and said the same thing. Not only that, but there have been so-called fans who have still said the same thing during this season. Look at the total over-reaction when we had that bad patch before Xmas.

On top of that, there are idiots who have consistently moaned, griped and booed the team for not winning 5-0 every game. Season ticket holders at that. "You're only here to see the trophy" applies just as much to them, in my opinion.

So whilst a part of me is embarrassed about the chanting, it's only because the opportunity presented itself. And the truth does hurt.

Good post.... AND after a heavy night out.... bonus points for that

no, the birch trying to get everyone singing 'rockin' all over the world' is embarrassing <_<

i couldn't go last night - first home match i've missed this season. typical really, but in a way i'm glad i wasn't there looking at some of the videos after the match  . the chant was obviously a bit of fun, and whilst i feel everyone has a right not to be persecuted, no one has a right not to be offended a little bit, particularly at a bloody football match.

and what's everyone's grudge against pitch invasions? i'd love to have seen a pitch invasion last night. oh, i forgot - it'll 'spoil the trophy presentation'. what a crock of shite - those presentations are naff beyond belief: some stupid makeshift stage, awful music, and players jumping up and down because these days it looks awkward if they don't...much rather have the fans on the pitch with the players...a much less choreographed display of joy. but the club got what it wanted in the end

And if I ever saw one singing 'Leicester til I die' I'd give them a good slap!

The point is you wouldnt have............. the players would have ran straight back into the dressing room. They wouldnt have stayed on the pitch. You might not have wanted to see the trophy presented but some of us did....... especially after spending hundreds of pounds trekking round the country (for years on end) watching them earn it. What right do a bunch of lawless idiots have to take that away from those of us that want to see it????? Why the hell shouldnt we be allowed to enjoy our success? Its been years since weve been presented with a trophy.

To suggest that the players were only acting happy to win it is a disgraceful thing to say

pretty sure they would have stayed...with all the other promotion pitch invasions i've seen with other teams, the players have always stayed on...it's not like the fans would be coming for their heads

and i'm pretty sure i didn't suggest that the players were feigning their celebrations, just that this cringeworthy practice of jumping up and down on cue like trained monkeys for the cameras that seems to have developed since they started bringing in these stage routines is naff.

anyway, they could have done it with fans on the pitch anyway. i'm sure i've seen it before

I agree with that and I admit i was still angry, and you're completely right. I do still think that as a club we should encourage more people to come to the ground, there may have been people thinking they'd come down and see what all the fuss is about, and instead of welcoming potential future season ticket holders we were turning on eachother. Probably has been blown out of proportion though now.
