James. Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Seems a lot of us have respectable professions that somehow allow us to spend an inordinate amount of time on here talking shit and not doing any work. Well my time talking shit and not doing any work is coming to an abrupt end next Tuesday. I'm starting a new job and for the forseeable future whiling away a morning/afternoon/week hitting refresh every couple of minutes will be a distant, fond memory. So to all those being paid to spend time on here I salute you. Hopefully some time soon I will be back amongst your ranks, where I belong.
lou Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 If they ever check my internet usage Im totally sacked!
Bellend Sebastian Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 I too will be disappearing in work hours soon, as we're getting a new router at work that can block websites. I cannot really complain because it's my idea. I don't spend LOADS of work time on here, but it's enough to make me feel guilty, so I end up overcompensating by working late and coming in at weekends. Just imagine how much I could get done in a normal working day if I actually had some focus. Instead I will be getting up in the middle of the night to argue with ASHLCFC17 or whatever his name is about Oasis
charliefox Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 If they ever check my internet usage Im totally sacked! Me too... But I hate my job anyway, would probably be a blessing in disguise.
Darkzzz_ Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 We are very slack at the moment and if you click on my assistant and see how many posts I have made today you will see that. But I have an interview for a new job soon, fingers crossed I get it. I am seriously getting fed up here, let me give you an insight into my routine: 8am- 5pm Facebook Twitter Foxestalk Football Manager Photoshop Eating It was great to begin with but it is no good in the long run.

welck12 Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 My office is weird, i have unrestricted internet access, but when i bring a book in to read at my desk they have a right moan at me! My day 7.30am - 6pm Log on Deleate all emails Foxestalk Breakfast Read about basketball BBC sport website Foxestalk Lunch Foxestalk 2nd lunch Foxestalk Home With the odd phone call by a customer (lasting about 3-4 mins) about once an hour thrown in for good measure
Guest Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 In my last but one job, the IT Manager tipped me off about a clamp down on internet usage. I managed to escape punishment, unfortunately someone who wasn't tipped off and posts on another forum got a warning.

lildave3 Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 I want one of these jobs. Scrap that, I just want a job.
Koke Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 I've also got a new job lined up so my heavy Internet usage will be reduced severely. My daily routine was quiet similar to James. The only time I spent time away from Foxestalk and Sky Sports was when I was in meetings with clients which is pretty much daily. Whoever gets paid to talk shit on here is a legend amongst men - in the same rank as Barry Hayles.
MC Prussian Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 All the best with the new job, James.Dot. I'm lucky enough to work in editing on a Mac, so I'm allowed to take a few breaks in between from all that cutting & chopping. Although, I can see that - with the summer break approaching - I'll probably make less FT appearances from May until July, anyway.
General Smuts Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Time was i actually cared about my work and didn't post during the day. Now the GT-R has been delivered they can barrel on. FT and FB all day for me now.
Katy Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 I'm taking the piss (out of people) on here whilst trying to be a student. The two don't go so well.

Alexikokopops Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 My boss is moving next to me in a reshuffle at work. I will be disappearing from these shores.

Tabou Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 I used to be on here ALL day. And I mean ALL day. Now, probably once a day for 5 minutes! I miss this.
MC Prussian Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 I wanna office job. No, you really don't want to. Unless it involves something more appealing than doing Excel sheets, writing .doc documents and creating PPPs.
