lavrentis Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 I was discussing this the other day, If I could choose one place in the world to go to It would be Iceland to see the Northern Lights. For me, it would be a thing I would love to see and one day I hope too. Where would yours be?

I want to do 3 or 4 weeks wondering around Sweden and the bordering countries plus a trip out to Iceland. Want to do 2 weeks in Basque Country. Want to visit St Peterburg. Want to own a property within Barcelona. Want to follow the Tour De France. Want to follow Lions around Sith Ifrica.

Would love to go back sometime. I really want to see Bavaria, Austria and Switzerland (Central Europe in general really) too. The Far East really appeals, especially Thailand and Vietnam. Israel is another place I've heard great things about, Eilat and Tel Aviv are pretty high on my list as is the Dead Sea. An amazing experience apparently. I'd also love to catch some football matches in South America, preferably at the Maracana. In terms of a place I've already seen that I would heartily recommend to anyone, Havana is simply amazing. So much history, so much individuality and just about the least Americanised country you're likely to see in the West. The people are friendly, the cigars are cheap and the scenery is absolutely stunning. Oh, and I want to see England in a World Cup final, preferably in Jo'burg 2010.

What will happen is a greater control on the sourcing of weed and fewer outlets. For example the council in Eindhoven grows the weed sold in Eindhoven coffee shops (if not now in the very near future).

Guest Bilo Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Interesting fact. Kyoto would have been the first city to have been targeted for the atom bomb in 1945 but for a certain Henry L Stimson who had visited it in the 1920s and thought it too culturally significant to be bombed.

I always wanted to go to Mexico and I was lucky enough to do that last year and really was the best holiday I have ever been on. Loads of things to do out there. The Mexican women werent bad either. Australia is the new dream.
