Darkzzz_ Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Barca certainly the better team. Barcelona are so good at working off the ball. Good game so far.
davieG Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Barca certainly the better team. Barcelona are so good at working off the ball. Good game so far. you think so sure Barcelona are playing well but it's too one sided in terms of attacking for my liking, not ding dong enough. Man U are offering nothing up front, their midfield is non existent and the defence looks nervous and dodgy even Van der sa looks poor.
Finnegan Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Not a bad game, not a great game. Barca's lead wasn't deserved at the time but they do deserve to be ahead at the break. I wish I had Sky, Andy Gray tends to be far more impartial - listening to these two on the ITV is fooking terrible. I'm tempted to mute the sound and put on Five Live.
purpleronnie Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 I'm sure we'll get Man utd dont seem to be themselves, there not playing well, no mention that they are being outplayed and outclassed by a great team. Carrick is having a nightmare, giggs and shrek seem lost. I didnt understand the commentators wetting themselves because utd had a few shots at the start dont they watch european footy?, one chance one goal...as it proved. My 1-0 prediction is holding up, but I hope united score just so I can watch more, love watching Barca play, beautiful football.
Guest Bilo Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Have to say that Barca have been a pleasure to watch since the goal, been a long time since I've seen a team toy with United like this. Messi just looks unplayable, too quick and his ball control is incredible. The problem, weirdly for Barca, seems to be turning their possession and all-round dominance into something in the final third. Henry hasn't looked too threatening, and Eto'o could have done better since his goal. Still think there are more goals in this game, but reckon they're going the way of Barcelona. Messi winning the battle against Ronaldo for now in terms of Best Player in the World.

I want more of this in the second half, but I can't rule United out at all. Fergie will really get into them now. Messi is playing well, Vidic is really struggling. But it is all about the engine room, Xavi and Iniesta. I can still see another couple of goals.
Finnegan Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Images of Albert and Ash crying into their readybrek if things don't change, eh.

I'm tempted to mute the sound and put on Five Live. Same here, the whole show is pathetic. Teddy Sheringham and Andy Townsend are clueless goons and the commentators have got their tongues firmly wedged up United's arses. They couldn't even manage to put a score and time for most of the half.

As awesome as the front three are, those two are simply brilliant. Real unsung heroes doing a great job so far, and United don't seem to have an answer at this stage in the game.
purpleronnie Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Do you think its in their contracts? I'm sure they must be less biased and more knowledgable than they seem. Pretty sure Richard keys has to mention that the premiership is the best league in the world at least 5 times per match.
Darkzzz_ Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Biased TV eh. Wankers. Sky are ok, but still biased. We wonder why half the country is brainwashed.

Edit: Tevez could play a huge part in this game.
dandannieldanok Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Both teams have been poor. Please get better! Disagree, for me Barcelona have played much better than they did in 180 minutes against Chelsea.
Matt Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Barcelona are just toying with United now. United need have a word with themselves.
Matt Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Carrying on as it was in the first half. I'd say Barcelona are better/Man Utd are worse than the first half.
davieG Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Only looks like one team is going to score, fortunately for MU Van der sar seems to have recovered his focus.
Katy Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Well I for one am enjoying seeing Barca take the piss out of ManYoo.
Mr Happy Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Only looks like one team is going to score, fortunately for MU Van der sar seems to have recovered his focus. They were some crucial saves he made, Utd could well be out of this if not for Van Der Sar.
Matt Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Don't wanna speak to soon, or jinx Man Utd but United coming stronger now? Hmmm, dunno actually had a good attack a minute ago but being put on the back foot again by Barca.
Red Leicester Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 As formations go, Barca are so much more fluid than MU in switching between systems. There's a chasm of difference in ability through the team as well; whereas MU can perform efficiently in the Premiership they are painfully lacking quality through the team here tonight, as well as ideas with which to counter Barca. I don't understand anyone not appreciating the Catalan's play - I've found watching them very rewarding.
