Uncle Albert Posted 27 May 2009 Author Posted 27 May 2009 If Guardiola wants to spring a surprise, Messi couldbe put on the left midfield, and Bojan start upfront.Probably not though. Possibly, I think he will go for the lad who started against Chelsea dont know what his name is though. He will probably just sit behind Iniesta and Xavi. This is where I can see United faltering because Carrick and Park's natural instincts are to attack and they may get caught out with leaving Iniesta and Xavi against Anderson. Only one winner. Carrick will either have a stinker or a heroic performance tonight.

Jon the Hat Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 I see a yanited fan has been stabbed already. Oh the eternal city. What a daft place to hold a European Final.
Darkzzz_ Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 If Busquets is playing my prediction will turn from 2-1 to 3-1 to United. The lad isn't ready yet. He is good but just not ready for this big stage. Hope he makes me look like a **** now. I am not confident at all about this.

Hope he makes me look like a **** now.I am not confident at all about this. It goes either way. Either he'll perform incredibly and be held in the highest regard as the next best thing to come out of Barcelona. Or he'll play shit, make loads of mistakes due to nervousness etc...and Guardiola will be held responsible. If he plays, I hope he rises to the occasion, as with every player that plays tonight.
Alexikokopops Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 ValdesPuyol Toure Pique Sylvinho Busquets Xavi Iniesta Henry Eto o Messi Or near as damn it Pretty much spot on I'd say, although there's been talk of Keita playing at left-back in place of Sylvinho in the Catalan press. Keita has said he doesn't want to play there and Guardiola's popped up saying he'll try and "persuade him".
Alexikokopops Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 I'm so excited about this game. I bet it's going to be shit
StanSP Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 I'm so excited about this game. I bet it's going to be shit I fear this too. All this hype will just lead to an anticlimax. Obviously I hope not though.

Darkzzz_ Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi: "Cristiano Ronaldo is a player I'd pay to watch. He and I are very different, but he is unbelievable, very special. As for me, I have no desire to ever leave Barca. I owe them so much. The doctors at home in Argentina told my parents I would never grow past 4ft 5in. Nobody took a chance on me apart from Barcelona. I want to repay them for the rest of my career. 1335: Talking of Lionel Messi - he's the top scorer in the Champions League this season, you know. He's bagged eight goals, but he's only had 11 shots on target, a remarkable ratio. There are 15 players who have had more shots on target than the Argentine, but this boy passes the ball into the net. Cristiano Ronaldo has had the most shots on target - 32, along with another 21 that have sailed wide. 1210: So much Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo chat - so try this stat on for size: Messi has failed to score against English opposition in 10 Champions League matches in his career; less well-known is that Ronaldo has failed to score in his six games against Spanish opposition. Still think they're the best two players in the world? Yeah, me too. I like these quotes from the BBC. So many people are just mentioning these two. It is so much more than them. The Barca blog says Keita will be at the back, United are so going to win this game.
Koke Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Yeah, it feels like it's Ronaldo v Messy wankfest - one will probably be anonymous and the other will be in the pocket of the fullback. One of the less fancied lads will be match winner. Michael Carrick or Yaya Toure.

Tommy G Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 I think Darren Fletcher will score a 30 yard screamer in the 85th minute to win it for Unit......wait a minute!
Darkzzz_ Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Who would win in the battle of the meat? Evra, Abidal, Yaya, Eto'o, Anderson or Gary Neville? Place your bets now.
StanSP Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Lionel Messi is massive. I won my personal battle with him last year, but he is not the same player and he is hungry. I will be another difficult night for me, I know. I have respect for him, but I am confident." At least Evra knows what he's up against. Tough match for him. Faces a much tougher challenge with the form Messi is in.

Darkzzz_ Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 At least Evra knows what he's up against. Tough match for him. Faces a much tougher challenge with the form Messi is in. But I would rather him be up against Ashley Cole than Evra, he skinned Cole a few times, Evra is a tough player, so quick and so strong. Ronaldo and Messi can be quiet all game, one piece of magic that is all it takes.
Darkzzz_ Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 How many times you tipped the opposition of Barca this year Go on Nath say it go on " Barca gonna win 5-0 I know, I know. I never get these right. I never make predictions on the score at least. I just really feel United are too much. I only tipped Chelsea, Madrid and now United.... Bugger it, 2-1 Barca!! (not confident)
General Smuts Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 As always i'll have Vidic for quids in down the boozer.

dandannieldanok Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Federico Macheda is 9/1 and Danny Welbeck 10/1 to be first goalscorer, stupidly short.
