United v Barca

I can't believe how rigid United's formation is Rooney's not ventured from that RW at all, they're are being pissed on and getting all mardy like they do when they're losing - always were bad losers.

Edit - as I write he's finally swapped with Ronaldo.

Lovely to see Tyldsley and Pleat having to eat their words. ManYoo have been poor and that's credit to Barca, they've not given them an inch since they scored the first goal.

Doesn't say much for the best league in the world :dunno:

I have been waiting for this.

All of those are eating their words now aren't they. Best team in the world. Made United look like a second class team tonight.

What a special team, what a special club. What a special first season for Pep.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

What a special night!

United deserve to be winning thanks to that "sensational dominance" in the first 3-4 minutes of the game that iTV keep bleating on about.

Well played Barca. Although Puyol needs to learn how to be a man.

Shit game.

Disappointing game in the end; men against boys in the skill, teamwork, intelligence and desire departments.

'Played Barcelona! Totally deserved. My lucky Barca shirt strikes again. They were pretty immense.

This.

Maybe its because I wanted Man Utd to win and they haven't so I didn't enjoy it too much, but I don't think it was the best of games really, I was expected alot more exciting. :dunno:

That is why I despise United and Ronaldo, worst bunch of losers in football.

You ain't watched Arsenal before then?

Certainly a year or two ago. They don't seem to bad of recent times, Maybe they got used to being failures and losing so often. :dunno:

I wasn't too fussed about who won but I found myself drifting in and out of it all the time. All I wanted to see was two teams go at each other but it never happened. None of the special players really took the game buy the balls, apart from Xavi, maybe Iniesta. Messi scored but wasn't great, Ronaldo was petualant, Rooney was no-existent thanks to where he was put, Giggs had an absolute shocker, and Anderson looked way out of his depth.

The last decent Champs League final imo was the Liverpool / Milan one in 2005. The one thing you can be sure of with Liverpool is that they're good entertainment value.

Arsenal and Chelsea just strop and moan, these just start turning into thugs, Ronaldo, Scholes and Vidic all guilty of terrible challenges. They simply couldn't cope with the fact they got shat on by a better team.

As formations go, Barca are so much more fluid than MU in switching between systems. There's a chasm of difference in ability through the team as well; whereas MU can perform efficiently in the Premiership they are painfully lacking quality through the team here tonight, as well as ideas with which to counter Barca.

I don't understand anyone not appreciating the Catalan's play - I've found watching them very rewarding.

This.

Better in every single department tonight, even at the back with their make-shift back four they looked solid. Just shows how overrated the Premiership is when compared with La Liga. This is the best performance I've ever had the pleasure to watch from a club side, awesome everywhere and made Man United look like a bunch of League One cloggers at times. Brilliant.

This I cannot understand. Don't get me wrong, Barca are clearly a great side, but tonight I don't think they were anything special.

I'm not a Premier League fanboy either.
