It doesn't surprise me at all. When I see a lot of bands like that playing glastonbury they just remind me of pub bands i.e half-arsed and a shadow of their former selves.

Takes a very, very good live band to do anything other than turn in a mediocre show at a festival tbh.

This is heavy & spiritual ..... also the sound of the early 70's New York underground.

Dunno what this fella' thought, but apparently Ravi Shankar despaired at the hedonism of the rock crowd.

Peyote, psilocybin mushrooms, LSD and a hash pipe. I'm still reading and still on my drone trip.

There's a Danny MacAskill bike video I saw about 10 years ago(presumably still up on YT, called Way Back Home). It was a brilliant look at his riding and the beauty of Scotland. It had two tracks, the first I'd already heard, the second blew me away. Another band that should have been huge.

Bill Ward is such an under-rated drummer. He's so good, evidence B:

1970, first song on their new album and this monster comes out of the speakers. Ward and Iommi on the 3.15 mark. It's godly.

Shame Tony Iommi didn't show greater appreciation of that instead of regularly setting fire to him during rehearsals. Also, irrespective of how good Bill Ward was, you can see his chequered underpants on the back cover of Sabotage.

Couldn't give two shits about this band's output post 1970s - but when they revisit the old stuff now that the 'toxic twins' are clean, it kicks. As a kid, I had a picture on my wall of Joe Perry, second guitar slung over his back while playing the solo of 'No More No More' on his black Les Paul.
