Alf Bentley Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 leicester city v barcelona 8/08/03 Has anyone got a list of both teams please...... Blimey, mate, I thought you had some inside information on a forthcoming pre-season friendly there! I thought Barça had learned something from their failings last night. They clearly need to sharpen their act up against some serious opposition... Tunch would have Messi in his pocket, King and Oakley would completely nullify Iniesta and Xavi, Super Steve would bully Piquet and Lloyd would rip Pujol to shreds!
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Leicester City (4-4-2): Walker (Coyne, 61); Sinclair (Curtis, h-t), Elliott (Taggart, 61), Thatcher (Impey, h-t), Rogers (Howey, 36); Gillespie, Scimeca, Izzet (Brooker, 67), Scowcroft (Nalis, h-t); Ferdinand (Deane, 61), Hignett (Dickov, h-t; Heath, 90). Barcelona (4-4-1-1): Valdes (Jorquera, h-t; Valdes, 65); Puyol, Reiziger, Cocu, Oscar Lopez; Quaresma. (Ros, 83), Xavi, Gerard Lopez, Luis Enrique (Overmars, h-t); Ronaldinho (Andersson, 61); Saviola (Kluivert, h-t). Referee: A Wiley (South Staffs).

Vardinhio Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Cocu red carded as Hignett sprinted through the middle, strange times!
Red Leicester Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Blimey, mate, I thought you had some inside information on a forthcoming pre-season friendly there! ...while I was thinking they'd decided to try facing a team who'd at least make a half-decent fist of it.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 I am pretty certain we wore blue in the first half and that new black shirt with the blue stripe down it in the 2nd, if that helps in anyway! I think that is the biggest attendance the Walkers has ever had.
dandannieldanok Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Flipping heck we did well to keep it 1-0 looking at those line-ups.
Fox92 Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Lost 0-1Nalis was the best player on the pitch I remeber that game, yes Nalis was good I seem to recall. One of the best games I have been to obviousley watching players like Puyol, Riquelme, Xavi, Saviola, Ronaldinho. The matchday programme I have from it I will love for evermore..

Finnegan Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Lost 0-1Nalis was the best player on the pitch I was so excited about Nalis after that game it was unreal.
Alexikokopops Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Went just to watch Ronaldinho. Who scored again? Saviola
Ozwin Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 I remember that match, everytime Ronaldinho went to take a corner he'd do a bit of skill to take the ball to the corner spot and everyone would applaud him. When he came back with Brazil to face Jamaica in a friendly he said he loved the reception he got from our fans, which I thought was nice.

Latest From Football Rumors : Ronaldinho is joining Leicester. I was attending the Leicester Vs Barclelona friendly which he played in. As he went to take the corner he did a trick in front of our fans. Thats all the evidence I need and can assure you its a done deal.
maddog Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Didn't go to the Barca match can't remember why. Was lucky enough to go to the Brazil Jamaica game though, when Roberto Carlos scored a stunner and the atmosphere was carnival-like.
Adams lives on Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Nalis was class. I spoke to Mickey Adams a few matches after Nalis scored that wonder goal Vs Leeds (left foot volley) and he was so pissed off with the fans shouting "shoot" everytime Nalis got the ball! Funny as fuk. Mickey Adams was a willy puller.
