The Reverend Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Good spot from the linesman, god knows what game Webb was watching, referees at this level should be able to spot that. I disagree, the pace which the ball was travelling at, it was impossible to tell - dont forget you have to be 100% certain to give the decision. Theres no way the lino would of been able to tell. BRAZIL.

BRAZIL. I think the Brazil factor probably did play a part in the decision unfortunately, but there is nothing to say either way whether the linesman clearly spotted the handball or not. Only the linesman himself knows that. However the decision came about, there is no denying it was the correct one in the end.

It was the correct decision yes of course, but I'm sorry but the linesman didnt spot that. Webb was told by someone watching video replays. All I would like to see is a level playing field.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 FIFA must make a ban on horns for the World Cup. And I thought the England band was fecking annoying.

Webb was told by someone watching video replays. All I would like to see is a level playing field. I agree. That ball was traveling at a ridiculous speed and it was virtually impossible to spot the handball. I don't believe for one second the lino spotted it.
MarkDeVries Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 FIFA must make a ban on horns for the World Cup. This I cannot stand the ****ers. Always used in Spain and tbh it's a joke.
dandannieldanok Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Well the Brazil players furiously pointing in the direction of the linesman kind of alerted me to the idea that he must have spotted it and flagged up.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Italy v USA programme will start in 2 minutes
CosbehFox Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Egypt looked the 'shazzam' for five minutes during their comeback. Why are they so good in ANC but poor in the WC qualifying.
DB11 Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Maybe it was the assistant on the halfway line that spotted it and spoke to Webb in the headset?
Finnegan Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Meh. The right decision was made. Some cheating twat got caught out.
Finnegan Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Good God the horns. It's worse than the Millenium Stadium when it was full.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 fooking hell some shit get on youtube quickly!
BlueSi13 Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Good God the horns. It's worse than the Millenium Stadium when it was full. Its just such a droning sound, it makes the game seem real slow and monotonous, horrible!! BTW am i the only one that thinks Italy just don't look right in the their new kit!!?

Whoever thought these horns were a good idea is a complete retard. The shade of blue is a bit pale for my liking, prefer the previous kits.
dandannieldanok Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Got £10 on Italy to win 3-1. How's it looking? Not that bad actually, USA 1-0 up with 10 men, Italy could overpower them in the second half.
MarkDeVries Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 USA USA USA! Yeh, 3-1 is looking like a good shout. USA are bound to crumble.
AmericanScott Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 We will lose this in the 2nd half. Italy will start piling on the pressure and we'll just get tired after 70 minutes. Altidore needs to keep the ball more and allow Bradley/Donovan to get forward for some more chances. We should be 3-0 up. Dire finishing. I just hope we hold on for 45 minutes.
Finnegan Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Where are you from, Scot? And how long have you been in the UK?
