Finnegan Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Waaay.USA USA USA. Who scored? Was it Landon? From the spot.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Head Honchos bet is looking very good indeed at the moment. 1-2 with 17 left.
Head Honcho Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Head Honchos bet is looking very good indeed at the moment. 1-2 with 17 left. With Royal Ascot starting tomorrow I could do with £120
MarkDeVries Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 With Royal Ascot starting tomorrow I could do with £120 Toni should have scored just then imo. 87 mins gone. EDIT: 92 MINS, TONI HAS JUST MISSED A 1 ON 1. Talk about losing £120.
Craig Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 With Royal Ascot starting tomorrow I could do with £120 You've got it
Basingstoke Fox Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Got £10 on Italy to win 3-1. How's it looking? You lucky little git
dandannieldanok Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 You've got Giuseppe Rossi a lot to thank for, he was truly inspirational.
AmericanScott Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Not surprised at all. Rossi is a beast and those goals made me clap. Klejstan gave us a glimmer of hope but it was too little too late. Who the fook is Charlie Davies? Absolute shit. Oneywu had a decent game as did Demerit. Bring on Brazil on Thursday! Where are you from, Scot? And how long have you been in the UK? I was born and raised in New York for 15 years. My parents are from Leicester and they got homesick in 2004 so we moved back. I've been here for nearly 5 years now.
Darkzzz_ Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 The last goal was genius. Pirlo has his critics but he is one player I have always admired, his vision is often his own downfall because he makes passes that players are not on the same wave length to get on the end of. Rossi is a very talented youngster.
Finnegan Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 How did Egypt look? Brilliant, mate. Your boy Zidan had a blinder. Highlights are on the BBC if you want to see his goals.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Brilliant, mate. Your boy Zidan had a blinder.Highlights are on the BBC if you want to see his goals. Ah, cheers. Quite pleased Zaki's injured tbh, gives Zidan a chance to show his quality. Just never seems to have been fully rated by any Egypt coach. I remember him winning games for them single handedly in the African Cup last January, but just never got any breaks. Did Aboutrika play?
Finnegan Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Not sure, mate, I had it on in the background more than anything and I'm not so familiar with most of the African nations. Zidan only stands out for me because he plays for BVB who I've a soft spot for (and I've noticed you get a proper rock on over him in another thread.) Took his goals well, though. He's got a fantastic turn out of pace.

Radovan's Caravan Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Egypt looked the 'shazzam' for five minutes during their comeback. Why are they so good in ANC but poor in the WC qualifying. The 'Africa Cup of Nations' (note the dodgy grammar) is the personal fiefdom of one Muhammed Hosni Sayid Sayid Ibrahim Mubarek. And this is the over the top HQ of the 'Confederation of African Football' the semi literate body that organises that African competition: Now, guess the country where it is located. Clue: 'Sixth of October City' is the home town.

shen Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Mr Lavrentis,You are not exactly quick on the uptake are you? Radovan Although it's too early to say something about their WC campaign at this stage, what does it do to explain their poorer performance in the WC qualifiers? Are the players told not to care about qualifying for the WC, or are they being threatened on their life if they don't bring the ACN to the country where it 'belongs'? Or have I, like poor Lawro, also missed the point of your reply?

I particularly liked how it was arranged for this man to become the BBC's 'Afican Footballer of the Year 2008.' Recognise him anybody? Even Hosni's football sub committee knew they wouldn't be able to get away with that so they very sensibly voted for Kalou. Nothing like a BBC phone poll to give you the right result.
