lou Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 I went for a powernap for an hour and 20 and missed about 25 runs With rain forecast for tomorrow and monday, we need to start getting on with it a bit. We may not have as much time as we were planning on having. I know! Its ridiculous IMO I know KP is injured but for gods sake they need to start trying to up the anti a bit we could win this test, we dont want another draw.
Milky Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 Always something to moan about isn't there. If it's there to hit they'll hit it.
lou Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 Always something to moan about isn't there. If it's there to hit they'll hit it. Now Collingwoods in hes hitting it.. 8 from the over. Didnt see Bopara doing that. Edit: Oh and another boundary!!
Craig Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 It says a lot about the previous partnership that Collingwood comming to the crease has increased the scoring rate
lou Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 It says a lot about the previous partnership that Collingwood comming to the crease has increased the scoring rate Exactly!
Milky Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 Those three boundaries were all off rank bad wide ones. Defend the good ball, punish the bad. No need for any silly buggers.

No need for any silly buggers. and we were never gonna win this match with the last partnership scoring runs as slowly as they were.. especially with the weather looking as dubious as it is for the next 2 days. Id like to see us win this match thats all.
Fox You Forest Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 I'm sure they weren't going slowly purposely, Bopara looks out of nick/seriously nervous and KP looks too have a fairly serious injury.

lou Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 Shame Prior ran out... 60 from 41 is much better. Come on Freddie!!!!!!!!!!
Fox You Forest Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 Very unlucky for Prior. Hauritz and his poor fingers.
Corky Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 Obviously been a good day's cricket, looking forward to watching the highlights.
Milky Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 Ravi and KP set the foundation nicely in the face of some good bowling and then it was lifted nicely after tea. 500 lead was always the target and they've built it perfectly. Great day
Webbo Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 I would have thought they'd want to bat until dinner tomorrow.
Fox You Forest Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 I would have thought they'd want to bat until dinner tomorrow. I'd be massively disappointed and shocked if they did.
Milky Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 I would have thought they'd want to bat until dinner tomorrow. A lead of 800 needed? You must really lack confidence in our ability! They'll bat for 30mins at most.
Salieri Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 A lead of 800 needed? You must really lack confidence in our ability! They'll bat for 30mins at most. Why bat at all? SURELY a lead of over 500 runs is enough of a cushion? We want as much time as possible to bowl at them in case bad weather is on the way.

Salieri Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 It'll be nothing to do with runs. So what will it be to do with?
