GLC Posted 19 July 2009 Author Posted 19 July 2009 If we dont win this, i'm gonna give up on england all together
Corky Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 To be fair to the umpire, the Hussey dismissal looked like a genuine edge. 178-5, in a great position, get Clarke out soon.
Matt Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 It's about time they lost another wicket isn't it? Not lost for a while now.
Brainy Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 Im gonna try and watch every game If we dont win this, i'm gonna give up on england all together What a difference a month makes.
Matt Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 It's about time they lost another wicket isn't it? Not lost for a while now. I was joking when I posted that, but we really could do with a couple of wickets to fall now.
Matt Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 Bad light stops play. Australia need 209 runs to win. Worrying, yet again we make things look good then make hard work of it. Oh well, if we get a good start in the morning everything will be fine
Salieri Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 Why bat at all? SURELY a lead of over 500 runs is enough of a cushion? We want as much time as possible to bowl at them in case bad weather is on the way.
Fox You Forest Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 No need for panic yet, another 100 without a wicket and i may start to get twitchy.
Edmund Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 No need for panic yet, another 100 without a wicket and i may start to get twitchy. This and That.
purpleronnie Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 It'd be ironic if he declared too soon this time. I think setting them a world record total to get isn't declaring too early, if you can't get them out before that huge total then its great batting or poor bowling. If the Aussies start well tomorrow and hit another 50 without loss they will be in the driving seat as they can bat down the order. Don't know whats the weather forecast is??? I hope we dont all start hoping for rain again.
Edmund Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 I hope we dont all start hoping for rain again. It's the british way
Webbo Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 When I said dinner I meant lunch. Imo they'd want a 600 odd lead and get the Aussies in the field for a couple of ours. It'd be ironic if he declared too soon this time.
Milky Posted 19 July 2009 Posted 19 July 2009 what? I thought you meant tea. Who calls 1pm dinner? Crazy. Batting till lunch was a crazy idea anyway. If it's 600 you wanted they could've done that in 40mins.
