Salieri Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Here comes Freddy... And there goes Freddy. For a measly 4 runs. 333-6.
James. Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 All out for 400ish, Aussies bat for 2 days and then we hope for rain while clinging on for dear life. Big mistake dropping Panesar, we need him for the last 11 overs on Day 5.
surrifox Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 we've achieved the impossible from 196-0 we've allowed them to finish the 1st day ahead of the game well done chaps- no blame on strauss though
Milky Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Sure it's disappointing to collapse a bit there, but it's still been a decent day for us.
purpleronnie Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Yeah it has been decent but it could have been great. But if all that rain comes tomorrow not sure what difference it'll make.
Fox You Forest Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Evenly poised I'd say, shame about all the rain tomorrow but the weather folk have been wrong before.
Matt Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Wow, been at work all day I heard we were 250/2 or something like that at about 3.30ish I think and was very impressed, to come on here and read we have lost many wickets since then is very disappointing to say the least
Edmund Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Sure it's disappointing to collapse a bit there, but it's still been a decent day for us. I admire your positivity Milky
Milky Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 I admire your positivity Milky I'm not going to go doom and gloom with a score of 364-6. It's a decent score any day of the week.
TrickyTrev Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 I'm not going to go doom and gloom with a score of 364-6. It's a decent score any day of the week. Its a very decent score, we are well set to get 450 odd in the first innings for the second ashes match in a row, bet that doesn't happen too often. The problem is that every score looks inadequate if you have convinced yourself the opposition is going to get 600/700.

(we're actually doing better than 05 so far )
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Dire dire day. But fair play to Strauss great batting and to cook aswell both punished the poor oppening bowling. Johnson was dreadful today worst I have ever seen him bowl for a long way. Thankfully we pulled a few wickets out to make it look a little respectful
Fox You Forest Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 You just knew it was going to happen. Yep, on the upside should be some good conditions for Anderson and Onions today, providing the rain stays away long enough.
marko Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 Oh dear, what a shambles. Let's just hope we bowl well as it looks like the pitch is doing abit.
Tilley Posted 17 July 2009 Posted 17 July 2009 3 overs & 3 wickets. Jesus Christ, our bowlers need to perform big time today.
