C-man Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I think there's a wider range of music... I seem to remember there being some chart stuff last week. I have no idea about drink prices except Carlsberg bottles are around £1.70. Oh and Stearman, Weso and Smedley (according to Loveday) love it.
Tommy G Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Went Life last night, free entry before 11 and £1 drinks all night so couldn't complain too much, changed the routine for a Friday night which is usually Walkabout then onto Liquid. Best nights out in Leicester are in Mosh. Highcross/Soar Point followed by Mosh on a Tuesday or Saturday is an unbeatable night out. You missed the ''In my opinion'' bit out

Wymsey Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Yates' is full of chavs usually. My favourite bars are Terrace, Time Bar (London Road), Revolution, Slug & Lettuce, Sumo. Having being going out in Leicester for 4 years I don't really appreciate the clubs anymore, both life and liquid are ok. I avoid mosh at all costs. manilla is supposed to be ok but is pricey. Fan club is a laugh, mainly because it's the only place you can buy a can in a bar! Zanzibar is full of black blokes that look like they will stab you, avoid it. I don't think I will ever go in there again I remember when i went to Time bar bout 8 months ago they had a mini crazy golf course inside. Still there do you know ?

The bouncers turn you away if you dont have a female with you, so I had to ring a mate who was inside to come out and pretend to be my bird (which isnt cool) and the queue itself was a joke. Got inside and its not bad, nice mix of music but I wouldnt go back in a hurry. Its the new Life for all the pretty boys.

I think he meant Superfly has become the new hotspot for the pretty boys that once infested Life. That's what I read it as anyway. I wouldn't know, rarely go there.
Joe. Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 Saturdays are woeful in town. Going Liquid at the weekend though I think sadly. Thursday nights in Life or Tuesday night Mosh are very much where it's at. Don't think I've ever had a bad Tuesday Mosh session, love it in there then.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 Saturdays are very pricey but at least there are people out which sort of makes up for it, Fridays are cheap as anything but have been dead for the past few months, probably why I tend to go town on a Tuesday 90% of the time now. Soar Point / Highcross / Mosh are always rammed, cheap, and pretty decent tbh. Like Joe. I've not experienced a shit Tuesday.
Tommeh Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 Not done many nights over the summer really, only hit Life a few saturdays, sisters party in Superfly and a Mosh Tuesday, always cut down at this time of year as nothing can compete with the night out had on holidays abroad. Still a big fan of Leicester at night as someone who has ventured into most Cities, the faces probably help though. Doing a final night next tues with MTWG before uni starts back.
