the_bowman Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 I've no idea Mr McEnroe. Just rolling with current themes
Fox92 Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 I had loads of these and then they just went in my collection pot for scraps. Just checked one but it has 2008 on and I will probably not get one again.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 I spent my 20 pences on a Twix earlier, without checking them. I was hungry!
AmericanScott Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 I found one this morning. What should i do with it? Bring it to a bank and claim £50 or keep it and let the value rise over the next few years?
Edmund Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 I found one this morning. What should i do with it? Bring it to a bank and claim £50 or keep it and let the value rise over the next few years? Sell it on egay
Tommy G Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Sell it on egay they are only going for £80-£100 on Ebay so how the fook did that guy sell it for £5,800?!
Edmund Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 they are only going for £80-£100 on Ebay so how the fook did that guy sell it for £5,800?! Because it was one of the first auctions and with all the publicity on the day it helps. Still £80-£100 is better than the £50 the mint are offering.
Leicfox Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 they are only going for £80-£100 on Ebay so how the fook did that guy sell it for £5,800?! It must have been one of the 1st 20p's for sale on there. Mine sold for £131, but the muppet that bought it never paid. Ive relisted today on a quick 1day auction, 18hrs left, 1 bid, 2 watches - £90 atm.

Leicfox Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Did you still have to pay ebay fees? I have'nt paid anything YET. What i was going to do was, wait untill it sells this time round then open a dispute with the non payer so i dont have to pay fees for that time round. If you get what i mean? I hope it works as ive never had a problem before like this.

Its only happened once to me and it only amounted to a quid so just left it and reported as a non payer.
purpleronnie Posted 14 July 2009 Posted 14 July 2009 Wouldnt surprise me if the person bidding £5,800 is a non payer too.
