Yeah, but by the end of August we will have played something like 4 or five games. Could set the tone for the season if we're getting beat and scoring zero! Ideally you want a guy in from day 1.

I dont suppose you saw fryatt on sunday then, back 2 weeks earlier than scheduled, took his finish perfectly, had 2 or 3 other chances....

..... which he missed.

Were they reasonable attempts and he was unlucky or was there a banjo and a cow's arse involved?

They were quite unlucky actually and also the side looked better when he came on.

29 goals in three seasons? Four in 33 starts for a season? Worrying.

Fryatt or not, we only have two strikers. Youth teamers, out of position wingers and creaky former heroes don't count.

lol

You were saying N'Guessan would be fine up front and you were telling everyone to chill a day or two ago.

I'm not saying it's a crisis, and I think N'Guessan can do a job, but more as an impact sub. N'Guessan would take a year or so to become a bonafide striker - if at all.

Just saying one more proper striker that some experience and isn't arthritic, and we'll be sorted. :D

fair enough, hope he doesn't want paying too much. I actually don't think we need to panick too much, I feel most loanees will be announced aftre pre-season when they're not needed for friendlys, and then w could well be looking at a decent prem loanee. Pearson will have fingers in pies, it's just patients.

you constantly make outrageous statements with no grounding.

I think a year playing in a position is enough time to tell if you'd be any good at it.

Anyway, the "if at all" part is the key phrase there.

A year playing as striker and few goals in return will see us relegated.

actually mate, that part states that you are questioning his ability to ever be a striker, which is quite a statement. But the modal verb 'would' is the bit that i thik is key.

'could' is probably a word you should use more when coing out with so many sweeping statements.

You seem pretentious, you are promoted and was one of the best striker of french second division, and he has decline offer of clubs better than Leicester. Don't Forget a striker with 10 goals in France, it's 20 goals in England :P

First of all, I'm not saying N'Guessan should play upfront over Fryatt, I'm suggesting that if he comes on as an impact sub usually in the position of striker, a year later he would/could be a legitimate prospect as a striker.

And whatever, 'would' or 'could' if makes you happy, fine 'could' is a better choice of word, but is there really such a need to be pedantic? You knew perfectly what I meant. :glare:

5 goals in 62 appearences for Fryatt, even more worrying.

Just relax mate.. If you're going to make thousands of self-assured statements a day, you're going to become annoying.

Thanks bignu, as you had pointed out before he scored 9 and made 10 in a season when the team scored 40 goals.

From what I've seen of his free kicks and corners we can't get him in quick enough.

Sounds like you're suggesting the French division 2 is twice as hard as the Championship.

No but french ligue 2 (like ligue 1) is a defensive championship with good goalkeeper ;)

A lot of average players (stricker) in France, come to england and socres more. It's a caricature. But I repeat he scores but it's not a "pur scorers", in our team he played 9 1/2.
