How can anybody comment on whether a Kermorgant and another striker partnership work when nobody's actually seen him play?! lol

I was starting to think I was the only one whod never heard of him before! :D

I am well aware of that but our style of play is mainly to head, which is why we missed Howard last season when he didn't play.

is it, tho? to be honest i think howard's importance got blown up out of proportion last season (as did davies'), i'm pretty sure that a lot of our goals were scored from build ups on the ground and breakaways with the ball to feet.

yes, we struggled when howard was out, but the general standard had dipped at that point, we had other key injuries and the games were more important for us and our opposition and thus the pressure was increased.

yes, howard was a key player, but it seems that many fans are starting to think that we were a one man team, and only played hoof ball. i know howard led the assists table but i'm sure they weren't all headers, and yet the amount of assists that came from the midfield especially the wings, shows that from a goalscoring perspective we were a lot more balanced than people are suggesting

i stand to be corrected, but i suspect we were more of a footballing side than many people imagine. the advantage someone like YK will have is that he can apparently take corners and free kicks which should boost our goalscoring from the defenders.

Good point actually, I never thought about it like that.

The assists look like this:

1 Steven Howard 14

2 Lloyd Dyer 9

3 Matthew Oakley 7

4 Max Gradel 6

5 Matty Fryatt 6

6 Andy King 4

Can't really argue with that but I do agree with you to an extent, we were going thorugh a bad spell when he was out for the most part.

It may of looked like we missed him more because we didn't really have any quality back up at the time aswell.

I am from Reims, excuse me for my poor english

Kermorgant is a good player and a great man.

When he was youth, he played in Rennes, the best youth team in France. Unfortunately at age of 14 years, he is suffering from leukemia... he must stop football during 4 years !!! His carreer is a miracle and a nice history.

After it has been continuing in his city, Vannes (equivalent of your league two) during 2 years. Then he playes to Chatellerault (league two) and make a lot of goals and assist and sign for Grenoble (Championship). In Grenoble he was a substitute, but he scores 10 goals (2 acrobatic goals), and he decided to sign to Reims for more play, Grenoble supporters were disapointed of his departure.

His first season is not very good in terms of statistics cause he was with 2 great striker of our team (Fauré and Féret). At the end of this first season Fauré and Féret leave in premiership, and Kermo can have more responsibility. This season he scored 9 goals and 10 assist and he was captain, unfortanely with a poor gestion of the club ( this ****** chairman with 6th budget 3rd affluence, new stadium) we are relegated.

But we loves kermo, and thanks him to be fight until the end (at the end of match he remained a long time on the ground with tears in their eyes)

quality : head, accrobatic skills ^_^ , passing, free kick

default : he is not fast, and he began the season slowly (overweight cause hollidays after several games its good)

Is not a real 9, a scorer, but rather a 9 1/2 or 10.

He was in contact with Lorient (premiership), and decline guingamp ( championship, winner of the french cup) and Caen (relegaed of premiership) cause he will really leave in French Premiership. He have not news of Lorient thus she try to play in England (contact with Coventry and Leicester).

Diriez-vous que Kermorgant adopte une bonne attitude ? Est-il un footballer habile ?

Always some git who has to show off.

"Attitude", I suppose you talk about mentality, he have a lot of charism (captain) and a "big temper", he is plain-spoken man I remember in pre-season he feel a bad season with this poor recruitment and a journalist ask "this season you have a good team with new players no?" and he answer smiling "yes i believe we must play in champion's league this year" :D

Thus he have little problem with the chairman and the general director with his talk.

With poor result supporter have make a demonstration at training, and kermo says "you must go in head office, its here that you can see the general director" ;)

But it's a nice guy, very discret, and he speak well with supporter. He talk not more in newspaper.

On the pitch he have the fighting spirit, i remember against Brest, we take a red card in the 30th minute, and he scored 1 goal make 1 assist and tackle all ball and we win 3-2

"habile", yes he have technical skills and he is powerfull but not a good acceleration, his goals are often beautiful (acrobatics, long shots...)
