At the minute all we have is speulation and no confirmation that this is any where near close to happening. I've been following this thread since the start and does any one have any idea if this is on the cards? i deal with the head groundsman at the training ground and im seriously contemplating ringing him to ask if he knows anything, in my honest opinion our team on paper is the most solid it has been for some time, and if we could trim some fat and loose dj the leach campbell i think adding a decent seasoned striker and pushing kee in terms of progrss through loans we could be set for a real push in a season or two, just not quite there for me yet?
Dan Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Hi allI've read most of the last aswers about this topic, and what my french buddies mean (well i guess they are french coz of 'eir english...) is that championship isn't easier than french's 2nd league, but that compared to your championship, and due to french bloody legendary cult of defence, it's harder to strike in our league than in yours... Which don't makes yours easier ! Take an example... This jerk-off of Adebayor was a complete incompetent in 1st league here, then he left for UK, and became one of the best scores in your league... Henry, was considered as a god damned great striker when he used to play for Arsenal, but always sucked at playin' within' the french national team coz of the coach's tactical... You see what i mean ? What we say is that you may think Kermorgant sucks, but you gotta take into consideration the diff'rence of league... Offensivly & defensively... The way of playin' footbal is so diff'rent in our own leagues... To be honest, even if i side with a french team, and that i don't really follow the premier league, it'd be lyin' that sayin' your way of playin' football isn't a better spectacle than our... I'm not lickin' asses, just admittin'... Otherwise, our club is also on the "Kermorgant file", so...........can you tell us where the Leicester FC is about it for now...? Thanks mates ! As I said peviously, I wont object to his signing, but we need a proven goal scorer. Now we have failed to sign Lita! Whats left now. Just the odd scraps to fight over. Are we an ambitious club? 1. The club has no money 2. We've just been promoted from League One; we lost out in the race for Cox and Lita to clubs that have just been relegated from the Premiership 3. Nigel Pearson is a highly rated young manager but not yet a big name 4. Oh, and, err, we have no money. It's going to be hard to sign quality players under these circumstances. NP got us promoted with a squad full of young loanees last season. Given how far we've fallen behind other clubs in the last 5 terrible years, we're not going to be competitive in the transfer market this year.

He went back home a couple of days a go. Don't know if any deal had been done and he's just off home to sort out a move or if he's gone back because no agreement could be reached. The fact that nothing has been announced leads me to believe that we will not be signing him.

But he has contacts in ligue 1 and that is his priority. He wants to go to a club soon and if he had nothing this week end he may be back in england this monday to discuss with staff.
