Tilley Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 16.20 French striker Yann Kermorgant has begun a second trial spell with Leicester City, skysports.com understands.
Uncle Monty Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 From what i have read i think he would be a good addition. It would also mean that DJ would be left to rot in the reserves, kind of like a poor man's Winston Bogarde.
Molson Canadian Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 French striker back with Foxes Kermorgant eyes permanent deal Last updated: 11th August 2009 Yann Kermorgant has begun a second trial spell with Leicester City, skysports.com understands. The French striker has already been to England once to train with the Foxes. Leicester boss Nigel Pearson was pleased with Kermorgant's initial display but he now wants a closer look. Kermorgant is now back in England and is hoping to seal a permanent contract at the Walkers Stadium. The 27-year-old striker is a free agent after leaving Stade Reims at the end of last season.
Tilley Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 This guy signs, the further away Dickov is from the team. Can only be good news.
Budweiser Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 I've already told you. He's NOT coming! Fook off.
maddog Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 So this thread will go on and on and on.................................................. Lets hope we sign him
Hackneyisblue Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 I've already told you. He's NOT coming! There appear to be two schools of thought on this possible transfer, your's and everyone else's
theoxonfox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Yann's coming!yann's coming!yann's coming! Yann's coming!!YIPPEEEE!!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Thought someone said he definitely wasn't coming? Well I'm pleased that he is still at the club on trial he sounds like the sort of striker we lack in place of Howard. If we signed him I would be very satisfied. Sky is normally fairly reliable so it can't be inaccurate.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 There appear to be two schools of thought on this possible transfer, your's and everyone else's There's method in my madness. If I keep saying he won't be coming, then he will.
Bert Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 He played today in the ressies friendly and we had some left back on trial too.
Budweiser Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 He played today in the ressies friendly and we had some left back on trial too. Interesting.
Cheese Me Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 He played today in the ressies friendly and we had some left back on trial too. Anyone know how he did? From what I've heard I'd love to see im get a chance here
Nick Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 There's method in my madness. If I keep saying he won't be coming, then he will. If you have supported City since 1960, you'de be nearly 50 years old....... why is it then that we have more articulate, thoughtful, mature, less rhetoric and generally like-able 8 year old posters on this forum? It amazes me you are still here without yet winning a Darwin Award.
Legend_in_blue Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 If he's better than what we've got already, and can offer Howard some competition for a place, bring him in. Surely it's a no brainer then?
Nick Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 If he's better than what we've got already, and can offer Howard some competition for a place, bring him in.Surely it's a no brainer then? Maybe but it's likely not to be Pearson who has Scouted him. NP will know that he is likely to have one shot at getting this right, the WBA cash for Mattock will mean one striker to add in signing and wages until DJ takes a hike. NP is no fool (he's not going to sign him up on the strength of a Youtube video - Yes! Surprising I know) NP will be looking at his work ethic how his style of play may or may not fit in to the team, what formation changes this may mean, his attitude and if he thinks he is good enough and prove himself injury free. NP should take all the time he needs to ensure he gets the right man the first time and not another "nearly good enough for the Championship" player in the dressing room with 14K a week in his back pocket. I only hope he signs If NP thinks he's the best man for the job Papertalk and Youtube don't mean too much, we've learnt that the hard way. In Nigel we trust. N. n.b - If Nigel sends him home because he's not good enough I'd rather wait till he finds the player he is looking for.
CosbehFox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 NP is no fool (he's not going to sign him up on the strength of a Youtube video - Yes! Surprising I know) That's the very reason why we've been watching him for a few months before leaving Reims.
Jfox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 anyone else think this page has been edited by both west brom and leicester fans. hence "Joe Matcock" and "he has more chance of making the prem with west brom" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yann_Kermorgant
Nick Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 That's the very reason why we've been watching him for a few months before leaving Reims. Hmm well maybe Nige isn't convinced by those who have been watching..... We'll see if he likes him enough to sign him....
CosbehFox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Hmm well maybe Nige isn't convinced by those who have been watching..... We'll see if he likes him enough to sign him.... Ligue 2 features a number of times on Eurosport across the world....there would be no problem in picking up coverage of him (Shakespeare and Walsh do a lot of the actual talentspotting) but of course, he would like to see the opportunity of him in an English environment but I suspect given he's foreign thus costing more money to be a guest here that there is a certain amount of calculation about the 'hook-up'.
Ric Flair Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 Kronenbourg's French, right? Well on the back of 7 cans, i'm willing to put my name to that if he signs, we'll finish in the top 6. " And it falls, to Kermorgant!!! Yann Kermorgant, bought for a vinegary wine and a leather beret, has just scored a goal, that is worth, a lot, lot more than that! "
THEfox Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 So, 2nd trial, does this mean that Pearson was so impressed with him first time round he wanted another look to make sure? OR Pearson has tried to identify other targets but couldn't find anyone else who wanted to join or to budget? OR Yann is on trial for the New Media Officer position?
MPH Posted 11 August 2009 Posted 11 August 2009 on his 2nd trial with us according to skyhttp://www.skysports.com/football/transfer...0,14896,00.html he was never on a first trial.... he only came to look round the place last time.
