Flynny Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 Is this a citywide thing? Big beefy flying ants swarming (mostly on their legs) in the garden all over the place, sister reckons she's seen it a few streets away too.
lildave3 Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 There was a load of 'em on our windowsill earlier. They look odd. I disapprove.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 nothing a can of Lynx and a lighter can't solve......
Bellend Sebastian Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 At least it doesn't happen every day. Now that WOULD be upsetting
Phube Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 Did you know... That once the mating flight has happened the Queen will store ALL the sperm gathered that day and use it for the rest of her life (up to 7 years!!).... ewwww...

Big Ol' Bob Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 I've been out with the kettle. Didn't boil it. Just ran out there and smashed the little bastards to bits with it.

I'm not usually too bad with things like that either to be honest. That whole day I spent cleaning my room

Brainy Posted 26 July 2009 Posted 26 July 2009 Two times in the past month i've had a swarm of bee's flying around about 6ft away from my open bedroom window.
Flynny Posted 5 August 2009 Author Posted 5 August 2009 Doing it again, one of the slabs outside is nearly black, making my skin crawl.
Tevez Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 nothing a can of Lynx and a lighter can't solve...... Yes!
Katy Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Can't say as I've seen any around my neck of the woods. Flies on the other hand.....come in my house if you must but keep on landing on my hair and I WILL end you!
acooling08 Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 We kill off 1 colony and then another moves in. Last year black ants swarmed and we killed them, this year the ants were yellow.

I love your sigs AC08, the second one I have done a few times......being sick while poooning, NOT shagging a dog!! I got rid of a colony with great difficulty, we basically kept all food and sweets well wrapped up and had to brake into a ventilator to get to the colony!! The mo fo's are dead and gone!! My mum on the other hand has a few colonies, and the feckers are everywhere!!!

lou Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 This stuff is brilliant! Spray it round the edges of your affected rooms on the floor and leave to dry....... smells feckin awful but stops smelling after its dried and we never see another ant once weve sprayed once a year. Definately recommend it but keep windows/doors open when your sprayin it as it truely stinks
