iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Oh, and if Sheffield Wednesday can remain in touching distance of Crystal Palace until the last day when they play them, I know who I'll be willing on to win at Hillsborough.. And it won't be the London outfit. 'Mon Wednesday. Why? Wednesday Is a shit away day, Palace is good.
lcfc_jme Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Why? Wednesday Is a shit away day, Palace is good. Personal reasons. If Palace dropped down to League One, I'd love them to stay there and just rot into obscurity. Much like Southampton, actually.

Corky Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Coventry's glorious late run to the play-offs continues.
tartanowl Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 Why? Wednesday Is a shit away day, Palace is good. Fair enough if you favour them over us. But do you actually enjoy going to Selhurst Park? IT'S A ****ING DUMP!

I like wednesday better as a team, But There's no atmosphere there. Its dead. Palace has good atmosphere. As for a dump, Hillsborough is easily the biggest hole ive seen.

As for a dump, Hillsborough is easily the biggest hole ive seen. Were you at palace the other week? Apart from that small section in the corner they had next to no atmos at all. Weds had s comparable lack of atmos but considering how both clubs are fairing this season I suppose it's at least vaguely understandable. I prefer Hillsborough to Selhurst any day of the week, but that's just my humble opinion

The band don't help either. But still, I don't agree that ours is worse than Palace though. We bring more fans home and away and make more noise. I can't comment on Palace at your place or at Selhurst Park but they're normally mediocre when we play them. Despite losing 3-0 at your place I thought we were tremendous and it's like that everywhere we go. Palace brought about 200 if they were lucky to Hillsborough for the cup game and were silent all match even though they won. The last game of the season will be interesting. I've never seen Palace bring a decent crowd but I suppose they must be this time. It's only my opinion, we may well be shite in a number of ways, but there is no way in hell IMO Palace have better support than us. Not a chance.

BoneDog Posted 11 April 2010 Posted 11 April 2010 I think Palace away is shite but I've only been once and it was a 3-0 defeat (I think, maybe 3-1) in the FA Cup 3rd Round. That's probably why I have bad memories of Selhurst cos I am a mardy barstad when we lose.
Edmund Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 Currently Reading 0-2 Newcastle Lets hope it stays that way.
Wycombe Fox Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 Reading down to 10 men through injury Wouldn't wish injury on anyone but...erm...good.
Salieri Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 Reading 1-2 Newcastle FT. You can effectively write off Reading now as a threat to us gaining a Play Off place.
Guest Bilo Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 Reading 1-2 Newcastle. FT. Play-offs move a little closer.
sdb Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 phew...after 7 mins injury time. Win on Sat and they can't catch us. Great result!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 Reading are almost definitely out of it then. Just leaves Blackpool and Boro, but if we win on Saturday I think we'll be just about there.

Strange that no one seems to be aware of the danger that Watford pose. They are right in the thick ofit down by the trap door and Saturday is as much a must win for them as it is for us. Another thing that unsettles me is Forest's attitude to their match with Blackpool on Saturday and their view of them as potential play off opponents. Will the Trees be tempted to rest key players knowing that the play offs are in the bag and that third spot is virtually assured? More crucially, would they prefer a possible two legged affair with an over achieving free scoring, leaky, happy-go-lucky outfit, or, in the event of Swansea overhauling us, a more dour encounter (one or two legged) with local rivals with a bit more savvy and a Premiership set up? My hunch is a draw against Watford and Blackpool to beat Forest.

We are 5th, they are in the bottom six, naturally we believe if the team plays to their best we'll get the points. Forest will want to end their away run and go into the play-offs on form, I doubt that they'll take it easy at Blackpool.

Blackpool beating them wouldn't be a surprising result.
RedHux Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Not sure whether us resting players will have any effect other then the "reserves" putting in a bit f extra effort to get into the play off team. Our full strength side have been bobbins away from home anyway, so why not change things around. I predict Dex and Earnie being rested, along with Anderson and possibly Majewski.
