StanSP Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 All 3 of you have your fair share of tough matches. You've got Boro and Cardiff; Palace have WBA and Preston; Watford have WBA, Reading (and us ). Looks like it's gonna go right down to the wire!
StanSP Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 Dates for semi-finals of the play offs been announced. Saturday 8th May, 12.45+ 5.30. Second legs Tuesday 11th+Wednesday 12th May times TBC
The Doctor Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 Anyone seen the interview with Simon Jordan on SSN ? Is he slowly morphing in to Shane Warne? is it just me or does he look like that bloke from pineapple dance studios, the one who plays in that band (starman or something like that)?
lcfcsnow Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 Any idea why we haven't recalled DJ Campbell yet? We are in no position to be helping Blackpool now, he's already helped them to get within touching distance are we going to allow them to keep him whilst they overtake us? :frusty:
Matt Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 Scunthorpe 1 - 2 Blackpool [Enter Dudley Campbell on as a substitute]
Edmund Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 And people ridiculed me when I said that Campbell could dent our playoff chances.
lou Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 And people ridiculed me when I said that Campbell could dent our playoff chances. He hasnt! Our poor recent form MAY have done that!
Edmund Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 He hasnt! Our poor recent form MAY have done that! True but that's irrelevant, it still doesn't mean that it wasn't a stupid decision to loan a player to our nearest rivals. It hurts to see one of our own players help Blackpool edge nearer to piping us from the playoff spots. End of.

Edmund Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 At the end of the day we've faltered and that was always a possibility. So when you get in the position we find ourselves it's a good idea not to have sent a player to your nearest rivals in the table to give them a helping hand. I said this at the time of the loan signing but everyone and probably including yourself laughed at me and said Blackpool would never catch us etc etc. Well now they are breathing behind our necks. There was always the possibility of this happening that's why form is irrelevant and the loan deal should have never materialised in the first place. END OF.
dandannieldanok Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 How is our own form irrelevant?! That's exactly what I thought, baffling comment.

There you go again, "form is irrelevant". Utter rubbish. If we'd kept up our good form then Blackpool wouldn't be anywhere near us regardless of how many DJ Campbell has scored. The bloke doesn't want to be here, we don't want him, Blackpool did. If Blackpool take our play-off spot then that's down to the players here as a collective and the players at Blackpool as a collective.

Yes I know it was in our own hands but we also knew that this possibility could occur where we could lose form and Blackpool could catch us up with dj's goals helping them. So we should have never loaned him out to Blackpool. What's so hard to understand about that. For some reason you want to ignore this fact just to tell yourself your right when your clearly in the wrong. Your clearly deluded and your stubbornness is disgusting. That's all I'm going to say on the matter, if you can't understand my point then give up now.

Thanks for the comments but I'll pass on your opinion, not sure why there's any need to be spiteful but oh well, you've chosen your target and really homed in on it. I respect Nigel Pearson's opinion over yours. You know he's that guy who's been quite successful here, the one who sanctioned this loan move.
Matt Posted 2 April 2010 Posted 2 April 2010 Fucking hell I'm repeating myself now. I know the feeling. I disagree with your 'form is irrelevant' comment as it quite clearly isn't if we'd held up our end of the bargain (Not losing) Blackpool wouldn't be catching us, End off, but I do agree an understand what you are saying about DJ and loaning him out to dangerous opposition who are fighting for the same spot as us.
Ashley Posted 2 April 2010 Author Posted 2 April 2010 I think we should bring DJ Campbell back now, just upset Blackpool a little. Say if it comes down to the last game of the season and he scores the goal what gets Blackpool a play off place and knocks us out of it? Do it now Pearson, Bring him back

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Off to the Posh Toon game today, after going to the WBA game yesterday and will go to the QPR game on Monday its quite a football weekend for me! Foir the first time I actually want Posh to win for two reasons: 1. I want us to put them down next week 2. If Newcastle go up today or Monday, I believe next Saturday they have Blackpool and if they are already up they might not bother a great deal which might be costsly towards us.
