Was great watching the big Welsh derby today, perfect result for us. Felt a little sorry for Swansea though cos they nearly won it just before Chopras winner. Must of hurt Swansea massively.

Couldn't believe it when I saw all the other results earlier. They all went our way. Today was a great pick-me-up after all our recent disappointment. 5th and 6th are still well up for grabs :scarf:

great results today

looks like no one wants to take the bull by the horns

Barry Fry's a megalomanic nutcase - judging by his outburst on the Football League Show. Down the Posh go. Shame the fans will be stuck with such a chairman for quite a while.

If we can get above Swansea i'll feel alot better. They are in free fall at the moment like us and that last minute loss against Cardiff may well destroy them.

Loved it when Cardiff scored. Great for us as well. Their fans are in my opinion the best fans in England/Wales. Wish we could make that kind of noise.

We've tried all season to get some noise going around the place, it's just been hard since moving over to somewhere like Ninian Park.

We were pretty awful and just let them pass the ball around, but had two chances and took them and Chopra showed what he's best at.

Funny how Claridge wrote us off a few weeks ago and now we've picked up 16 points from the last 6 games.

Newcastle promoted to the Premier League.

Congrats, I was hoping their was chance they'd 'do a Leeds' but it was soon after the season had started that wasn't going to happen.

I was wondering if Sky were going to mention the Blunts any time before kick off...

Congratulations to them but the rimming Newcastle are receiving despite having a wage bill of around £65m is really starting to grate now.

What did you expect? Sky was Newcastle's bum boys ever since the season started.

Glad this overhyped, hypocritical and, above all, biased commentating is coming to an end soon.

Sheffield United could still make the playoffs, so I hope Newcastle get away with all three points.

Newcastle haven't won the league yet have they?

It's only a matter off time and i'd think not many point needed? But just thinking this might spur them on and not take their foot off the gas to help us out on Saturday? :fc:

Fvck me it's so quiet at St. James' it makes me want to cry.

What you on about? It's rocking, Promotion Party! :punk::bounce::banana::yahoo::jump:

Personally I can't wait for FT and hear Rocking All Over The World start playing, it'll be great scenes to watch from the passionate Geordie support.

Did anybody else think Lee Clark was bald?

And on Newcastle, they've been the best side, totally spoilt by the total bumming. They've ruined the coverage of the Championship this season. I hate how writers and broadcasters look at the table now, and they're all jumping on the bandwagon and talking disparagingly about the division as if they're experts.

Looked like a nasty knee injury to Tom Cleverley today, knee bent backwards in a tackle. Hope he gets better soon if indeed it is as serious as it looked.

By my calculations, Doncaster Rovers have become the first Championship team to become both mathematically safe from relegation and eliminated from any chance at the promotion/playoff spots--congratulations on achieving Midtable Mediocrity! lol

You've got too much time on your hands.

Great set of results for us today, couldn't really have gone much better in all fairness. Just hoping Crystal Palace get relegated and Leeds + Charlton fail to come up. That and a Welsh team to reach the English Premier League. That'd make for pretty much a perfect season.

I'm kind of hoping a team from Leicestershire makes it to the Premier League instead. But, hey, that's just me.

S'a fair point and a response I kind of expected but everyone pretty much knows my thoughts on the Prem and they haven't really changed too much this season despite our position. Not sure a season in the Prem getting tanked every week and signing players on bigger wages would be that good for us overall but hey-ho, that's a different debate for a different day. :D

That's also not to say I wouldn't be delighted for us if we did get up, because it'd be a fantastic achievement, just when the novelty wore off, the reality set in and the above scenario started to kick in, I'm not sure everyone would be so ecstatic about us being there. Especially with the inevitable hike in ticket prices as well. ;)

Besides, I'm sure everyone on here (aside from 1 closet Forest fan) would rather a Welsh side go up than Forest if we a) reached the playoffs and b) fell at the first hurdle.

I guess our general disagreement is more of a philosophical debate that would be pointless to hash out here, but as for this:

Besides, I'm sure everyone on here (aside from 1 closet Forest fan) would rather a Welsh side go up than Forest if we a) reached the playoffs and b) fell at the first hurdle.

...I'm with you there.

Oh, and if Sheffield Wednesday can remain in touching distance of Crystal Palace until the last day when they play them, I know who I'll be willing on to win at Hillsborough.. And it won't be the London outfit. 'Mon Wednesday.
