Should be above you in my league then! How many points you got so far now?

Quite stupid really having a player who wants to go in your team.

Because he scores goals and i thought was almost certainly at City :dunno:

I got 20 points and have Kuyt and Carragher left for tomorrow. you?

25 with Kuyt, Carrick and Defoe left while I left Carragher on the bench.

Arsenal were brilliant.. Denilson's goal was the pick of the lot for me and Vermalean's header was pretty snazzy.

Great day to start the season and Wigan beating Aston Villa was a pleasing shock (even if it did ruin my accy), Sunderland and West Ham have had great starts away from home.

Excellent result for the gooners.

But it won't mean jack if they lose at Celtic in midweek..

We'll see the best and worst of Arsenal this week. They absolutely deserved the 3 points today, Everton were blown well out of the water and it was frightening how ruthless Arsenal were with their chances - something they normally struggle with.

They will, however, go and lose 2-1 away at Celtic and everyone will jump on their backs again accusing them of overplaying and not being clinical enough.

Lescott should not have played today. He was hideous, in more ways than one.

I still hate Stoke. DELIGHTED with Hull's goalscorer.

Personally can't see them losing to Celtic. Arsenal usually bring out the displays in the CL.

Maybe so, but Celtic do tend to be strong at home in Europe. I've no doubt Arsenal will go through overall, but I can't really see them taking the away leg. Avoiding defeat away will be a good result.

You make a good point. I forgot how good the Celtic support is at home. Im sure you are right that a draw is the most probable outcome from the first leg but enough to see them through.

On a different note thought Wenger has made a a good purchase in Vermaelen. Has always ben highly rated and him and Gallas could be a solid back two.

I'd say it's more like Anfield is, to be honest. On its day, it's brilliant, but it's overhyped for the most part. European nights are always special, though!

As for Vermaelen, I'll wait until Christmas before I judge him one way or the other. Early signs are positive and that he's a good signing, but the wheels can come off just as quickly as the ball can bounce out of the net in a Crystal Palace game.:P

I'm gonna put Man Utd (HT-FT) in a double with the result of the Spurs - Liverpool match. Trouble is, i can't decide which way the latter game is gonna go? Any opinions would be most welcome!

Birmingham giving ManU a good run for the money. The Red Devils are missing that additional touch of genius from a guy like Ronaldo.

EDIT: And as I'm writing these lines, Rooney scores.

Don't lnow what result I want from the Spurs game. As Carrick didnt play he has been subbed out of my team for Carragher but I have Defoe up front, and Kuyt in midfield.

I think the best thing is for Defoe to score, Kuyt to score and finish 1-1.
