I say yes

this is a tough one - DJ has made it clear he wants to move on, but, having seen him play for the reserves on Wednesday he looks VERY sharp - only played 45 mins which made me think he's gonna be in the squad on Sat

Nige will not start Campbell on Saturday. FACT.

I would have him over Dickov, N'Guessan and Chambers upfront though.

Just realised we've gotta play Newcastle away without Waggy or Steve :/

FACT in whose eyes? - DJ is THE obvious choice over Dicky and Danny?

No, i wouldnt. i would resort to using an academy player first and only if there realy was no other option would he get a game. after what he said at the end of last season he should never pull on one of the hallowed blue shirts again, not even for the ressies IMO.

He isn't. Did anyone hear Nigel on the radio when Stringer asked him 'will Campbell feature as he did the well for the reserves'. Nigel replaid 'No'.

And good too. DJ Campbell slated the cluba and I would rather play Dickov to be honest. At least Dickov will fight and not get knocked off the ball easily.

If I was to put DJ on the bench, it would be only for his pace.

Be very nice if he plays Saturday now.

I would really enjoy it if he gets a goal and kisses the LCFC badge.

Come on Dj come on!

If he is given a chance by NP and ends up staying this season, we could be a serious 5th-8th place contender.

I would say we are looking at 8th-12th currently based on what i've seen.

Sign up Kermo too, very exciting this.

Please tell me why you would enjoy it if he scored and kissed the badge?

Most people can't stand players who kiss the badge (generally because they'll fook off for a few quid extra) but you're talking about Dudley who has been shite for this club and then said he never wanted to come back.

I'm always glad to see someone score for Leicester but if it was Dudly and he then kissed the badge I'd want to twat him.

I would still play him on Saurday, as it would be a an opportunity to put him in the shop window.

He played well for the Reserves the other night, though that doesn't mean a great deal. However, maybe, just maybe, he has had time to reflect on his bad attitude.

Worth a go I think, even if coming off the bench.

With Gallagher on board and Kermorgant to be signed soon, DJ has fallen down in the pecking order and is probably going to another club - Blackpool, eh?

Still, would've loved to see him play for the first team one more time in order for him to show what he's really made of (and not just a prolific penalty spot scorer). But then again, probably not a big loss.

Bye Bye Dudley...?

I'm not sure that it will be byebye DJ unless we pay him off or at least pay Blackpool something to take him.

If he's on 20K a week then he isn't going to want to play first team football for 10k.

It wouldn't surprise me if he just sat his contract out.

Can't find the press clippings now, but towards the end of last season there were a couple of interviews with senior players, one certainly Oakley, in which they specifically made reference to the dressing room spirit in the promotion campaign, identifying the difference with the previous years, and talking about how the team spirit was much more collective and encouraging for younger players, with no prima donna celebrities. Given the timing of the interviews, shortly after DJ made his comments about not wanting to play at Leicester again, I took those statements to be a players' response to DJ that they didn't want him back here either.

All in all, I don't see that this situation really is one of NP v DJ. The impression I have is that DJ would disrupt our dressing room, and we don't need / want players who do that. Been there before. In that case NP is right to keep DJ away.

Not really. Only would if it was a 'desperate times call for desperate measures' moment. He should only play if he will play to give 100%.

But like I said in the match thread, a target man is needed do badly for us to play well, if we cant get one in, I would even consider putting a defender up front like we did with Walsh. Rather do that than play DJ.

Thank god NP didn't go Brown upfront!

I've seen nothing to suggest Gallagher and Kermo offer anything like the pace and elusiveness in the box that DJ offers and those are things we're missing at the moment.

had a major injury crisis on fifa 09 (not brought 10 yet, waiting till start of half-term) so played brown and hobbs upfront together, worked suprisingly well actually. may try that strike partnership than play dj? :P
