maddog Posted 24 August 2009 Author Posted 24 August 2009 So maddog has predicted five wins out of five thus far. almost right
maddog Posted 24 August 2009 Author Posted 24 August 2009 My team for tomorrow. Weale Neilson Morrison Brown Powell Gradel King Oakley Dyer Kermo Gallagher Subs: Fryatt, Hobbs, Wellens, N'Guessan, Berner, Adams, Logan Or something similar, really mix it up I've forgotten Tunchev
Vlad The Impaler Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 3-0 to the city. Team: GK. Weale RB. Neilson CB. Morrison CB. Tunchev LB. Powell RM. Gradel CM. Oakley CM. King LM. Adams ST. Gallagher ST. Fryatt SUBS: Logan, Wellens, O'Neil, N'Guessan, Kermogant, Dickov, Berner Think the players that come in will feel that they have a real point to prove, hence my prediction. Up The City

Up The City --------------Weale---------------- Neilson--Morrison--Tunchev--Powell Gradel---Oakley---King---Adams ----Gallagher---Kermorgant------- Nigel Pearson surely considers the league the priority, but will want to win for momentum and moral. So, a lot of key members will be rested for Newcastle. Definitely agree with Vlad, the squad guys to come in and really want to stake a claim for a glamour trip to Newcastle infront of TV cameras!

I'd like to see Kermo start but just can't see it. Hope your right though.
Joe. Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 First time a game has screamed out defeat to me. This is what I think Pearson will play, rather than what I'd like: Weale Neilson --- Morrison --- Tunchev --- Berner Gradel --- King --- Oakley --- Adams Kermorgant --- Gallagher It's round pegs in round holes at least.
Bryn Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Can't see past a loss, but doubt anyone of us will shed tears. Weale O'Neill Hobbs v Brown v Powell-------------^Tunchev^Gradel Oakley King AdamsFryatt Gallagher
maddog Posted 25 August 2009 Author Posted 25 August 2009 According to the beeb team news, Gallagher is set to partner Kermo http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/l...cup/8205265.stm
Simo86 Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 I think the team will be: Weale O'Neill Tunchev Morrison Berner Gradel Adams King Oakley Kermorgant Gallagher Subs- Logan, Hobbs, Neilson, N'Guessan, Wellens, Dickov, Dyer
Asha Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 Like the team to be Weale O'Neill Morrison Tunchev Berner Gradel Oakley Wellens Adams Gallagher Kermorgant
casablancas Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 I think if we're sticking Maxi and Adams far enough forward with an attacking mentality we'll have enough pace and skill to worry both the Preston full backs. I for one hope this is something NP will be looking at. Maxi, Yann And Galla to score. 3-2 to Leicester
carterfox90 Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 think it will be another tight game but will lose out in extra time to a late goal by them at least we can cocentrate on the league just hope we get no more injuries
marbelladave Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 The game is not that important but a decent performance/result will help build momentum. Has to be decided tonight so I would love to see NP start with a strong attacking line up. Unless they are carrying knocks, play the usual (at this time) back 5, another game under their belts before the real tester on monday. Oakley, King and Adams in midfield, King holding and Oakley and Adams going box to box. N'Guessan, Kormagant and Gradel up front, an all French front line, how cool is that!
James. Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 N'Guessan, Kormagant and Gradel up front, an all French front line, how cool is that! History would suggest that an all French front line might not be the best form of attack.
Fox You Forest Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 History would suggest that an all French front line might not be the best form of attack.
David Guiza Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 Boring 0-0 followed by a late Gallagher strike deep into extra time .
marbelladave Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 History would suggest that an all French front line might not be the best form of attack. Allez les bleus! BTW The French are at their best going forward, it is their defending that is the problem.
jonah Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 kinda thinking that if were going to field a weakened side then preston will proberbly be thinking along the same lines. 0-0 stalemate with us winning on penalties 43-42
DarkTranquillity Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 NP has already said there will be some changes, so this will hopefully mean some plyers with a point to prove. Debut goal from Kermo and Morrison from a set piece. 2-1 City.
leftsideoverhere Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 I care more about fitness and future suspensions than the result tonight. So predicting our first loss of the season, 1 - 0 to an own goal scored by Matt "all I care about is promotion" Oakley in the 93rd minute in order to avoid a physically punishing period of extra time.
