Weale 6

Neilson 6

Hobbs 7

Brown 7

Berner 6

N'Guessan 6

Oakley 5 - went missing for most of the game, harly noticed him or heard his name

Wellens 7

Gallagher 5 - free kick apart, did nothing, plainly not a left winger so please don't play him there

Fryatt 5 - should of scored

Howard 8 - MOTM won almost all of his headers, was let down be a lack of support

Dyer 5 - did very little and most annoyingly continued his habit of not staying wide

Waghorn 5 - never got going

Why Adams wasn't the 1st change astounds me as he should really be starting and why NP keeps picking Lloyd Dire over Gradel, who can't even get a look in is shocking, Dire has been poor since around last Christmas, don't know if it was just the t.v. coverage but i was disappointed with how little Oakley contributed too.

I'd agree with all that, but Howard wasn't MOTM, first half maybe, but just because he got no service to earn MOTM. Wellens for me edged it.

Weale 7 good kicking no chance with the goal

N'Guessan 5 He started off well then from 10 mins in was poor

Oakley 5 Two yards off the pace in the second half

Wellens 6 Good first half but kept slowing the pace of attacks down in the second half

Gallagher 4 Cack

Fryatt 7 Good performance I thought. Unlucky to be subbed but should have scored.

Howard 7

Dyer 4 It was raining. Enough said.

Weale 6

Neilson 4.5 - His pace was exposed and his crossing was shocking.

Hobbs 7 - Decent game, couple of little mistakes but otherwise solid.

Brown 7 - Same as Hobbs

Berner 6 - Played reasonably well, got his foot in a few times.

N'Guessan 6.5 - Thought he did quite well, at times his crossing let him down.

Oakley 6.5 - Pretty average.

Wellens 7 - Got stuck in at times

Gallagher 6 - Rarely given the ball outwide.

Fryatt 5 - Should have got on the end of Howard's flick on's.

Howard 8 - Didn't put a foot wrong all game imo.

Weale 6 - Still looks good but not quality.

Neilson 5 - No width, never an attacking option

Hobbs 6 - Not as solid as normal

Brown 7 - slightly better than Hobbs but needed to go through Ranger early and let him play

Berner 6 - See Hobbs

N'Guessan 7 - Attacked well with no penetration or real quality, crossing was gradel-esque at times.

Oakley 6 - See Hobbs

Wellens 8 - Brilliant as always, just lacked the final ball

Gallagher 6 - free kick apart, did nothing, plainly not a left winger so please don't play him there <-- agree with this.

Fryatt 6 - should of bagged and went missing afterwards, right to have been subbed after the goal

Howard 8 - won every header but both his strike partners didn't gamble enough and help him out.

Dyer 5 - no width or penetration or a final ball

Waghorn 5 -offered little no help to Howard

Adams 5 - see Dyer although he didn't have enough time to make a real impact

Don't understand people Gradel comments. HE CANNOT CROSS. This is why he's nowhere near the team.

I'd pretty much agree with those ratings, other than Fryatts, who in my humble opinion, only deserved about 695.

can ANY of our wingers? when was the last time we scored from a cross, by a winger, in open play? at least Gradel, unlike Dire, will stay wide, commit the full back and try to make things happen, Dire on the other hand decides to play as a striker, when he can kick with his right foot and when he is wide takes 2 touches before going backwards

But a few games into the season, following a season where Dyer shone at the begining and the end.

You need to have a word with yourself or find a new hobby.

you forget about the huge chunk in the middle when he was appalling? apart from 1 or 2 games towards the end of last season, he was crap since xmas

Weale 6

Neilsson 5 - Slow and offers nothing going forward

Brown 6.5 - Decent

Hobbs 6.5 - Ditto

Berner 6 - Ditto

N'guessan 7 - Always looked to attacked

Oakley 6 - Good first hald, few wayward passes second half

Wellens 7 - Got stuck as always

Gallagher 5 - Not a winger, wasn't in the game at all

Fryatt 6 - Should have scored, Toon sused him second half

Howard 7.5 - Played well bit lacked decent service

Subs

Dyer - 5 - GO OUT WIDE!!!! Constantly wandered around in the middle, we needed to stretch the game at get some crosses in or win dome corners. Can't beat a man either

Adams N/A - Should have come on earlier when we needed a bit more composure

Waghorn 5 - Barely touched the ball

Posted

Weale 7 - Had fook all to do really. Did well and seemed confident with the defence

Neilson 5 - Nothing wrong, had to make up for the fact that N'Guessan was never on the wing leaving him to attempt to crpss ball in before getting caught out.

Hobbs 6 - Strong, solid, disappointed he or Brown didnt do better with the goal.

Brown 6 - Didnt seem to be able to distribute the ball. And see above.

Berner 6 - Solid and consistent as usual, didnt really have the chance to get forward due to poor play in front of him down the left.

N'Guessan 5 - MOM for first 10 mins then did fook all. After the ten mins he seemed to think he wasnt a winger any more and just didnt do anything. Should have gone off on the hour.

Oakley 6.5 - Had a very good first half as he controlled the midfield well but like everyone went poor in the 2nd. He kept Barton out of the game though.

Wellens 6 - Tidied up a bit at the back but didnt really seem to do any thing or look dangerous going forward.

Gallagher 4 - Took a good free kick at that was it. Doesnt look a player who should be on the left.

Fryatt 4 - Not good enough. Should have had that chance at the end of the 1st half. Should have hit the target or played Howard in. Very disappointed.

Howard 7 - MOM. Won every header but had no one helping him or running on. Played his heart out and looked committed.

Dyer 3 - Comes on and like N'Guessan doesnt seem to realise he is on the wing. But even worse as he seemed to spend more time on the right than N'Guessan did! Should have started rather than Gallagher though.

Waghorn 3 - Did he touch the ball? Least I knew Fryatt was on the pitch.

Thats because he doesn't like playing in the cold. :D

Nope - I saw almost every match last season. I know when Dyer was poor.

You are exaggerating for effect and it is uncalled for - and the witty "Dire" epithet fails to appreciate his qualities or an understanding of what being a "supporter" is all about in my book.

Brought it back from France this summer, by the case load.

Weale 7 - Looked solid enough. Was unsighted by Brown's ludicrous positioning for their goal

Neilson 6.5 - Solid in the tackle, but wouldn't bet my life on him making a successful pass

Hobbs 4 - Absolutely stinking display. I didn't even think Ranger was that good but Hobbs made him look a world beater. Too easily turned for the goal and a dodgy presence all game. With Tunchev likely to be fitter in 2 weeks, I think it's time he had a rest.

Brown 6 - Had a generally solid game. One cracking cross-field pass in particular. However, his positioning for the goal was laughable, he didn't even attempt to close him down and seemed to be marking thin air, whilst obscuring Weale's view.

Berner 6.5 - Pretty sound

N'Guessan 6.5 - Positive but lacked any sort of final ball.

Oakley 7 - Really set the tempo in the first half. Second half faded but tried to get on the ball.

Wellens 5 - Totally anonymous

Gallagher 5 - One good free kick, one ridiculous free kick. Other than that did anybody notice him?

Howard 7 - Won a lot of headers, but they never seemed to amount to much.

Fryatt 6 - Don't know why everybody is slating him for missing that chance, he largely created it himself with a great turn and it was on his left foot, still 18 yards out. The option to pass was obscured by a covering defender. I'd rather he shot in those situations to be honest. Don't think he touched it in 20 second half minutes, but made many clever runs in the first period.

Subs:

Dyer 3 - Absolutely terrible

Waghorn 5 - Spent his whole game trying to feed the ball through the eye of a needle.

Overall, the first half performance was really good, the second half performance was pathetic.
