Simo86 Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 Where's Maxi Gradel, Oh Where The ****s He Gone,Where's Maxi Gradel,We'll Still Sing Your Song,Where's Maxi Gradel,We miss your silky skills too,Oh oh oh oh.. Love this we need to get it going against Boro, just for the comedy value
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 It's not really though is it. I find it a joke too. Especially as we have no one any good down the left side. He was fantastic for Bournemouth playing on the left yet we seem reluctant to play him there. What is NP doing instead? Plays a forward there. Seems a nonsense to me.
Raj Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 Saw him on Sat Nr Reception There's your answer. Near Reception.
Thracian Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 Oh Maxi Gradel, though you are the love of our life, Please take some time off, Forget the shagging of wives, Just get your shirt back, And join our limpid attack, Oh Maxi Gradel ....
Milky Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 The little kid got chucked out for not being two.

Dyer was good in League one. He's no more consistent than D.N'G, he's home grown though so everyone wants him played.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 Gradel should be given his chance, and N.P. should bring Gallagher off the wing and put him up front. I don't say that it will work, but I do believe it will not make matters worse. Some of Nigel's methods seem a bit sterile this season.

Dyer was good in League one. He's no more consistent than D.N'G, he's home grown though so everyone wants him played. From your logic N'Guessan was only League 2 last year so is even less qualified. Why is it that you think that Gradel is not worth a go?

Agreed. From your logic N'Guessan was only League 2 last year so is even less qualified. Why is it that you think that Gradel is not worth a go? I'll join in as well, because I don't rate Gradel either. He isn't worth a go becuase he isn't good enough. Yes, N'Guessan was League 2 but if he was good enough he would be able to step up easily - I know, it's a different division but Morrison jumped to League 1 from the conference and was awesome - N'Guessan isn't and you can tell why he has come from league 2.

He hasn't had a chance in this league though? Just look at Bruno compared to last season eh?
Fox92 Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 He hasn't had a chance in this league though?Just look at Bruno compared to last season eh? I suppose so, but Bruno was more in midfield last year wasn't he? ... No, your most probably right. Can't be much worse than, dare I say, N'Guessan - you mind as well stick me on the right side of midfield. Still, don't like or rate Gradel from last season though.

Fair enough The problem with Dany is that he is so inconsistent, that's why people slate him. I suppose Bruno was in midfield a fair bit.

I actually find it difficult to believe that Gradel could possibly be match sharp after such a long spell on the sidelines. Apparently he's targetting the close season!
Thracian Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 He hasn't had a chance in this league though?Just look at Bruno compared to last season eh? Oh stop it! Gradel's not playing cos he's not old enough. Positive discrimination seems to require that players are 28 or over and processing towards that end seems to be enthusiastically ongoing. Why do you think Peter Jones has supposedly been made available so suddenly.
Edmund Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 Yes he was told that last season and this season he is being fed what i think is more BS.He has been told that this season we are playing a "different system". Yet they play Dany? I fear unless things change towards Max he will leave. If you like him or not. Dont you think we should give him say 5 or 6 games. To see if he can hack it for Leicester in this league? He is not match sharp because he has not played for such a long time maybe send him out on loan to get match sharp? Is it because he came through our youth setup that he is not being played or even on the bench? Dyer has done nothing this season.Yet Nicky Adams only just makes the bench why? At least Dany scores. Paul Gallagher is a forward why is he being played on the wing? He hardly ever gets back to cover. Leaving Bruno many a times facing two attackers. Dyer, Gradel, Adams, N'Gussen all cover the full-backs. McGivern can not play yet as he has a slight knock. Maybe fit on Wednesday or maybe not until Saturday. Cheers knowitall for the info. Just one thing ive picked up on. From your recent posts it seems thats everythings not that rosy within the club at present? I may be wrong but thats just the vibe I get from your posts. I don't know your role within the club but your obviously close to the first team and your not exactly beaming with confidence in the manager. One home loss in a year, two this season to two good teams and people are calling for wholesale changes. Once again babylon speaks sense. I don't even bother reading post match threads after a draw or loss now as its the same predictable people spouting the same predictable crap.

Babs has never been noted for his speed or deligence in noting when the ship's timbers start leaking.

Russell352 Posted 28 September 2009 Posted 28 September 2009 Are you sure?At times last season, I thought he wasn't good enough, never mind this league. Although, I don't rate N'Guessan. I like N'Guessan, everytime I see him he looks dangerous infront of goal. This is more than what can be said for most players. Agreed that Gradel should be given more of a look in else he'll just get pissed off and leave. There's probs another thread for this, but why isn't Tunchev being played more? Before his injury I remember him to be pretty much faultless! Maybe give him priority over Hobbs.

Have I said he isn't worth a go? No... I've said it's not exactly the crime of the century some are making out that he hasn't.

I'm well aware when there are problems, I've mentioned quite a few already in relevant threads. The difference between myself and people like you and you alter ego Marbella Dave, is that I don't go on and on and on and on and on about them. I'm also prepared to give people a certain amount of time to fix major problems, if you were in charge of the club managers would be fired after one game. Just because I don't become all dramatic and whine on like an old fish wife doesn't mean I can't see faults. I'd already said to Dave in one post that I thought we were 3 good players away from being the team he thinks we should be NOW. • Berner and Neilson are limited in their abilities and we will only ever get so far with them. • We don't have one winger who is good/consistent enough, this means we are choping and changing every week trying to find the answer. I prefer a settled side. • I like Brown, but he is error prone and his distribution is shite meaning we surrender possession to quickly. • Gallagher is a big problem, the manager doesn't know where to play him. He is trying to shoe horn him in the team at any cost, because of it we are losing our shape. • Howards lack of goals is a problem, we are lacking goals from midfield this year so carrying a non scoring striker is a luxury.

Fair assesment, at the end of the day, Pearson makes the decisions and lives by them. A second successive defeat tonight, may give Pearson some food for thought. Pearson has high expectations this season, and to be honest he has changed the formation to accomodate Gallagher. Pearson has time to figure out his best formation\strategy, this gives hope to the likes of Gradel etc, were no soft touch and are very able in this division so there's no need for knee jerk reactions, I think a few need to just relax and empty there sacks!!!!!

I'm completely with you on this. Let's hope Pearson sees the same assessment of his squad and performances this far and does something about it. Trouble is, your summary was true prior to the Preston game but he chose to stick with his favoured eleven and formation/tactics.
Thracian Posted 29 September 2009 Posted 29 September 2009 Just in the sense that he is not panicking at all stations. You're right that Babs never panics and is loyal as a lapdog. Given his way, we might still have Levein or Kelly as manager. And be top of the Premiership. Forgetting flippancy those qualities are admirable in many ways. Managers fortunes can change with circumstances - a run of bad luck can threaten any manager and a period of good fortune and freedom from injuries to key players can make a boss. For me though it is more the way a manager goes about trying to be successful. His commitment to attack, the way he balances the team, the way he develops or improves players, how he responds when we get in front and so much more.
