Ford Super Sunday Posted 7 October 2009 Posted 7 October 2009 From the OSWith just ten days to go until Leicester City face Derby County, the club is expecting a big crowd and is begging City supporters to buy their tickets for the football match now, to make sure we dont have too many empty seats. Over the last few days, a couple of hundred City supporters have purchased tickets for the eagerly anticipated East Midlands derby. Amended
Jfox Posted 7 October 2009 Posted 7 October 2009 what they mean is - we aren't selling enough tickets for the leicester vs derby game so we're telling you that theyre nearly sold out so that people will buy them
sdb Posted 7 October 2009 Posted 7 October 2009 what they mean is - we aren't selling enough tickets for the leicester vs derby game so we're telling you that theyre nearly sold out so that people will buy them I reckon that's what Ian C was hinting at
Ford Super Sunday Posted 7 October 2009 Posted 7 October 2009 Does the C in your name stand for Cynic? It is in these scenarios (even though this is the kind of thing I want to do after I finish university )
lou Posted 7 October 2009 Posted 7 October 2009 Ian C is spot on! They always say similar then come the day of the game theres about 4000 seats available

If it is looking remotely like the plymouth game is in danger of selling out, can you buy me a ticket - yes, i am coming over that weekend.
AjcW Posted 7 October 2009 Posted 7 October 2009 , I rang up the day before the cov game and they said they had 200 tickets left. Got to the game and stood in a particularly empty right side of the away stand. hmmm

If they were wrong I'm sure it's because they fooked up rather than any ploy to sell more tickets.
Bert Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 Half way down the comments article.... Someone thinks we're giving Derby 8000
Fox You Forest Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 Half way down the comments article....Someone thinks we're giving Derby 8000 Two people called Tony and Lisa going at it all the way down the page too, deja vu.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 Niced to see another sell out and hopefully if we stay in and around the playoffs they will get bigger for the smaller games like Plymouth, etc.
Free Falling Foxes Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 Well, they have at least 5 tickets left: I've had a text from them offering me 5 tickets for £99!
Guest Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 Two people called Tony and Lisa going at it all the way down the page too, deja vu. Rumbled. Although FYF, perhaps rephrase your sentence
Guest Bilo Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 28,000 maximum I reckon. At the 'Platinum fixture' prices, I'd be very surprised if they managed to flog the lot in the middle of a recession.
Ozwin Posted 8 October 2009 Posted 8 October 2009 Be nice to have a sellout, seems like it's been a bloody while.
Koke Posted 9 October 2009 Posted 9 October 2009 Be nice to have a sellout, seems like it's been a bloody while. Wasn't Scunny last season a sell-out or summat?
Shrenchel Posted 9 October 2009 Posted 9 October 2009 Just got a text from 'The Birch' urging me to 'get behind the lads' by buying a ticket for the massive east midlands derby. Have they got some snotty work experience kid working in the marketing department or summin? This is exactly the kind of shit that makes me feel like sending back my horrifically overpriced ticket for a refund.

Good thing my phone was on silent otherwise they'd have woken me up at the ungodly hour of 8:30 a.m. two days running!
