Edmund Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Looking forward to this fight. That guy is a beast. 7 foot tall!!! Anyone watching it?
BoneDog Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Oh yes, I'm watching this one. Love the pic of them holding the glass! That guy is frickin massive, can't wait to see what cracks off in this fight. I not really bothered if Haye loses this one. He used to be in my top 3 favourite fighters a few years ago but not such a fan anymore, don't know why. Haye is gonna come be all guns blazing as usual, will be interesting to see how big man copes.
dandannieldanok Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Haye is gonna come be all guns blazing as usual, will be interesting to see how big man copes. To be honest I can't see this guy really getting rocked at all no matter what Haye throws at him. For me Haye's only chance is to outbox the guy and make sure he's the best over 12 rounds, I think it would take a miracle to win by knock-out.

He used to be in my top 3 favourite fighters a few years ago but not such a fan anymore, don't know why. The thing is Haye isn't small either at 6ft 2 but looks like a dwarf next to Valuev. Like you said can't see that changing. It's not just the reach of his arms but the fact Haye will be hitting above head height throughout which is twice as tiring because of the blood rushing out of the arms.
BoneDog Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 I think Haye could give him some problems cos he is extremely fast for a Heavyweight and very hard hitting, if he can connect properly with having to reach so high. It does look quite impossible the more I look at these pictures though
LCFC-ARAB Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 How big is his face?? i can't see how he's going to lose
Nick Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 How big is his face??i can't see how he's going to lose For all Haye's goading an insults and big talk, I must say that the intelligent 7ft Russian Gent stated he'd do his talking in the ring, declined to retort or comment and presents as a very intelligent fella. It's gonna be a good ruck. My money is on Haye after 12.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Hope Haye gets slaughtered tbh. His mouth has made me dislike him. He's not witty with it, just arrogant.
Samilktray Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Love David Haye. Hes no Amir Khan for me though.
Jay Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 it's just plain insanity that anybody wants to get into the ring with that freak!! his hand in a glove must be the same size as Hayes entire face and the fact that Haye needs to standing on Valuevs toes to hit him surely means it's almost impossible to knock him out.
Raj Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 The self proclaimed "Haymaker" is a Knob. Used to ok but has got caught up in his own big talk. Valuev has kept a dignified silent BUT his manager said for the first time about a fellow boxer that Valuev has actually said he wants to hurt Haye!! Haye could be in the shit!! Dont suppose this is on BBc is it????
Edmund Posted 24 October 2009 Author Posted 24 October 2009 Dont suppose this is on BBc is it???? Sky Box Office I believe.

Ozwin Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Love David Haye.Hes no Amir Khan for me though. What, a non charasmatic, bigger nob head?
Mikey Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Love David Haye, think he'll win after 12. That guy really is a tank though.
lildave3 Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Yeah i'm looking forward to this, would love to see Haye win. I'd say it's doable.
Sly Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Nikolai Valuev will win this with some ease I'd imagine. Even if it goes the distance Haye will start to struggle in the later rounds. Looking at the size difference between the two and it's frightening!!
Edmund Posted 27 October 2009 Author Posted 27 October 2009 Haye on points.. I reckon this will be the outcome. Definitely wont knock him out. Although I reckon Haye will win I'm tempted to put a few quid on Valuev as you can get some great odds on him. Haye is the favorite with all bookmakers but with a man of Valuevs size you're getting good value for money as you can't write a 7ft tall heavyweight champion off.
lou Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Looking forward to this fight. That guy is a beast. 7 foot tall!!! Anyone watching it? CHRIST! Its Wayne Brown on steroids!

If i was a betting man id put cash on Valuev. Think Haye could go the same way as Ordinary Harrison...
Edmund Posted 28 October 2009 Author Posted 28 October 2009 Im suprised at that.If i was a betting man id put cash on Valuev. Think Haye could go the same way as Ordinary Harrison... I was as well. I'm no boxing expert but I'm sure the usual trend with boxing and betting is that the punters will back the British fighter for loyalty reasons hence them having short odds. Or I could be completely wrong and Valuev is shit apart from his height/size advantage. Looking at his record though he has only lost one fight in his career on points. I also reckon Valuev will be pissed come the fight. Haye has been calling him freak etc at every opportunity and winding him up a treat. Not forgetting that cardboard cut out he knocked the head off. Valuev, 36, had never heard of Haye until the British fighter stormed a press conference wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the Klitschko brothers' decapitated heads.'What did I think when I saw that stunt? One more idiot in boxing,' said Valuev. Haye recently called Valuev the 'ugliest human being I've ever seen'.

I think the bookies are looking at Valuev's fight against Holyfield and how badly he struggled to overcome a 46-year-old has-been. Although I too would have Valuev as favourite. Not forgetting that cardboard cut out he knocked the head off. That was hilarious.
