Finnegan Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Hats off to Haye. Never been a fan but that's fucking monumental. Absolutely staggering.
easilee Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Brilliant!!! effing awsome. Always knew he would do it. Tempted to start a new thread on that absolute knob Jim 'yeah but' Watt commentating. Always negative about fighters from England. I wouldn't mind so much if he wasn't as shit a fighter as he was. Well done for getting the footage up so soon. On the ball
lildave3 Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Fantastic stuff from Haye. Tactical boxing, Valuev could not get near him. Brilliant to have a British Heavyweight CHampion!
MPH Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 and to believe Haye damaged his right hand in the 2nd or 3rd round too!!! if anyone knows somewhere thats got the whole fight as a replay please email it to me as i only listened to it on the radio... was at a friends house and so had to plug me headphone thingy into my mobile phone and listen to it by radio.
MPH Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Whats happening, has Haye won.I know nothing about boxing i'm sorry. or about football
General Smuts Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Already purchased this and have the boys coming round Satdee to watch it. Never been a massive boxing fan but i've been desperate to see Valuev in a major bout for a while and this is perfick. Gonna be a mad brawl.Only way Haye will win this is on points. Loved it called it theres a fella asleep on thesofa. epicz
Floating Fox Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 What a lame fight! Obviously was never going to be great but it was a bit of a let down. Walkabout was rammed down here. Easily a thousand people in there. Went bonkers in the last round. Well done Haye!
purpleronnie Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Thank f@ck the Russian didn't win. We'd of had you telling us how everything English is crap. Its amazing I defend england (the country) all the time but as soon as you criticise an english team people think you're anti english....amusing.

Sky Sports 1 next saturday do you? Well it is at least next weekend at some point.
Fosse Boy Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 That was ace. Pub went mental when he got the decision.
dandannieldanok Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Will be a lot better to watch when he faces a bloke his own size, fair play to Haye he beat Valuev the only way he could have been beaten in 12 rounds.
Tommeh Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 So boring By far the best sport to watch on the box in my opinion. Said Haye by points before but going into the 9th I'd ruled him out, being the challenger, and away but he went for it last 2 and got the deserved Judges verdict. Massive win, delighted.
Shrenchel Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 Crackin result. Enjoyed it. Slightly spoilt by the Gio-Gois ****** who hadn't watched a fight since the last Hatton bout moaning about it being boring for 11 and a half rounds. Go home then you cvnts.
Matt Posted 8 November 2009 Posted 8 November 2009 David Haye just arrived back at Stansted Airport, just done a interview on SSN, he says next fight will "definetly" be in London v mandatory challenger John Ruiz probably in March/April time, then he wants go for unification v one of the Klitschko brothers - Either one, he doesn't mind "he'll flip a coin".

Or maybe Don King had a word in their ear, because lets face it, its a massive win for him. (He may not be directly associated with Haye but he'll coin it in some way or the other) The Sky commentry was annoying me, "how can one punch win a round?" - well one landing punch vs 6 wafts of thin air is surely the better? The Giant just didn't have an answer and looked like he knew he was beaten at the end.

Raj Posted 9 November 2009 Posted 9 November 2009 Whoop Whop!! Said he'd win...didnt i!!! Nah...The lad done good. Though Valuev would have cuaght him atleast once and i thought it'd have been a jab, hold type fight but it seems like a jab run type game. He aint no Lennox Lewis or Tyson as he's not a natural Hweight and wont put on more poundage BUT he's lucky the other Hweights are shite. Half decent boxer in a poor poor division!!! But good luck to him.

Hopefully he'll face Vitali rather than Wladimir.
BoneDog Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 Ruiz next for Haye then! Ruiz didn't look too impressive in his fight on Saturday. I think Haye could see him off although Ruiz will definately come to fight so it could be tough. He is very professional. Anybody know when this fight will be? Hope we not got to wait ages! As for Klitschkos, in my opinion Wladimir is probably the better boxer of the three (including Haye) but Haye has more chance of knocking him out than Vitali. I think Haye would struggle against both of them but he has the power to hurt Wlad more so than Vitali so I would rather see him fight Wlad I have heard that Sauerland and Don King have control of Haye for his next three fights although I can't find out if this is true. I also heard that Sauerland will not let Haye fight either Klitschko so those fights could be a way off yet. Hope not though. Has anybody heard if Haye might be fighting one of Arreola, Chagaev or Povetkin after Ruiz and maybe a Klitschko? Surely those three would be next in line? Very, very tough nights for Haye they would be

Not to sure on any dates but I saw on ssnews earlier that his promoter was sorting something out soon (think it was a fight against one of the Klitschkos) and will start training when his hand heals.

I hope it's March at the latest, I hate waiting for boxing matches they seem to take ages to come round. Even though the heavyweight division doesn't look too good on paper at the minute it's got me excited again after a while of not being that bothered about it

Even though the heavyweight division doesn't look too good on paper at the minute it's got me excited again after a while of not being that bothered about it I agree, in a perfect world we would see big fights every couple of weekends from the same boxers but with the nature of the sport and the training I'm not sure it's physically possible. I know what you're saying in the past we have been spoiled by a feat of great boxers and some epic clashes. It seems to have lost it's edge over the last few years.
